Redraw - Rudi - 17hh 9yo Bay TB Gelding.
Rudi is a big, leggy and beautiful gelding. Mostly used for dressage, but we think he would enjoy a job with a bit more variety. Hence looking for a new home at no fault of his own.
He has the basics well established on the flat with some laterals started. Wouldn’t take much to have them polished up. He gives a lovely feel and is soft and easy in a snaffle.
He has done a little jump training and whilst green, is showing that he is brave and willing. He will need someone with some experience to continue his jumping education.
Rudi competed at the Thoroughbred Spring Fair twice, once unofficially at Hawkesbury Riding Club and has been to a Protocol day. He is easy to take out, either with others or alone.
Rudi’s only fault is he can be a bit sharp/spooky when coming back into work or fresh. However I have found that he is fine when in consistent work -a typical energetic thoroughbred. Because of this he will not suit someone nervous or inexperienced. He definitely is a horse who benefits from being in consistent work.
I’m happy to talk in depth about his spookyness to anyone interested. I personally haven’t had any trouble with it.
He is good to trim, shoe, float etc. Does need sedation to be clipped.
Currently barefoot with good feet, but would benefit a pair of front shoes if in serious work.
