I’ve been following Tristan Tucker for years, but I’ve never taken the step to purchase a membership until now!

I finally made it happen and spent $560 on unlimited access to the TRT method!

Rather than trying to do it all on my own and, knowing me, giving up after a few weeks, I thought it would be great to get a little group of us together to work through the programme, practise and learn along the way!

We’ll meet at our place once a week or so, starting with groundwork, so it’ll be suitable for pretty much anyone!

It’ll also be a good opportunity for non-riders or anyone who doesn’t have a horse of their own, as you are welcome to borrow one of mine.

PM me if you are interested on joining me!

I’m not a big believer in celebrating our animals’ birthdays… ( mainly because we have far too many and I’m pretty sure they don’t really care! 😛 )

But some birthdays deserve a special mention!... 🥳

Our gorgeous Norana turned 4 years old last week and it also made me realise that we’ve now had this beautiful soul in our lives for over 3 years.

There are so many people I’d like to thank for helping bring her into our life and helping her become the lovely mare she is today.

First, her previous owner, who sold her to us all the way from the North Island. I imagine many people would have liked their promising foal to go to a competitive home, but instead she ended up here with us.
Then there is her breeder, who somehow tracked me down and has continued to share helpful information and knowledge about “Diva”, which was her original name ( and no wonder why! 😂 ).
Also thank you to my riding buddy Ava, who was part of her early journey while she was still in Queenstown, and to my fantastic barefoot trimmer and kind trainer Eli, who has helped me enormously with groundwork!
And thank you to my friend Sarah for taking great photos of us yesterday! ( As you can all see, the zinc on my lips season has officially arrived!!! )

And now… it might be time to start thinking about getting this beautiful girl broken in!
Although, I’m not sure I want to send her away to do it!…

"Lambing season" done and dusted at Nolran!… ( Fair enough, we only have one ewe here at the moment!!! 😂 )

It’s that time of year again when our psycho Suffolk ewe gets even more dangerous than usual!

I’m not silly enough to get any closer just for a nice photo of her lambs for Facebook!... ( even though I’d really like to know if they are boys or girls! )

These 2 cuties are from the most unfriendly sheep I’ve ever come across. ( And I can’t get over the fact that she absolutely hates humans… considering she was born here! 😂)

But if you think sheep are dumb, this one will prove you wrong. She is incredibly smart and without a doubt, a great mum for a sheep, I must say!

You bet this made my day!... ❤️

I’m so grateful for all the lovely people we’ve had the chance to meet as Airbnb hosts over the years!

From the many wonderful guests who have stayed with us, to our returning guests who keep coming back and the special friendships we’ve made along the way, we are incredibly thankful and very lucky to attract such amazing people here!

I know this page is mainly about the equestrian side of Nolran, but if you’ve stayed with us in the past and still follow along here, we hope to see you again sometime!

And if you are thinking of coming back, I promise we’ll take great care of you when you book with me directly!

LAST CALL for David!

I’ll confirm the appointment times next week, but I can still fit a few more people in on Thursday 1st October, as I can organise my own horses for Friday if needed.

A little reminder too, it will be school holidays! If you had assumed you’d need an after-school appointment, you may have more flexibility than you thought!

While it’s now too late to organise a trial saddle for this visit, you can still book a session to have your current saddle checked.

And, as last time, I’ll include free arena hires for anyone who would like to keep riding after their appointment!

PM me if you’d like to book a spot!

It looks like we’ve accumulated another indoor pet without even being asked!… 😝
I guess Muddle didn’t want to be home alone while we were away all weekend!

Remember, David Jones-Parry is back our way in less than a month!
So if your saddle is looking a little more like this… it might be time to get it checked! 😂

I’m simply lost for words… ( and you know it’s not often the case if you know me! 😂 )

Master Saddle Fitter – David Jones- Parry
Thursday 1st October

Hi all,

Just a reminder that David will be back our way in just 1½ months!

If you are interested in having your saddle fitted or trying a saddle, please register your interest as soon as possible!

David needs some notice to organise trial saddles, so if you are hoping to try a new saddle, don’t leave it until the last minute!

To book a fitting, just send me a message with the number of horses/saddles and your preferred morning or afternoon time, and I will be in touch!

Thank you!

GUINEA PIG NEEDED! 😂

If like me, you’ve had the Equisk training bands popping up all over your Facebook feed for the past few weeks and have been tempted to order them… I would love to hear what you think!

I finally gave in and ordered a set...
They arrived 2 weeks ago… and they’ve been sitting on my desk ever since!

Rather than letting them look messy in our lounge for the next few weeks or possibly months, I thought I would give you all the chance to try them out before committing to buying your own set!

Book our arena next week and borrow my brand new set of Equisk bands completely free!

Intro offer for arena hires next week :

Monday 10th August – Sunday 16th August
Equisk training bands free to borrow with your arena booking! ( I also have the gloves in XS size )
