Winter grazing at Nolran might actually be one of the best times of the year to be here!

While many places turn very muddy over winter, we are lucky to live in a sunny and fairly dry area that still allows horse owners to keep enjoying riding through the colder months.

These cold evenings are honestly my favourite time of the day to ride under floodlights!
Photos never quite capture how peaceful and beautiful it feels, especially once the night skiing starts!

We still have one or 2 winter or long term grazing spots available, including a paddock with its own shed and private tack room.

With a couple of our summer grazers now gone, we will soon have space to welcome a few new horses.

As we are away quite often, I’m open to flexible arrangements including grazing only or discounted options for someone able to help in the morning when needed! Please note I am no longer offering full livery services.

Part livery from $110 + GST ( $126.50 )

Saddle fitting – Last chance TODAY

Today ( Friday afternoon ) is your last opportunity to book a saddle fitting while David is in Queenstown ( he won’t be back this way for another 6 months )

He also has a Wintec 500 close contact in 17.5 available from his South Island trip so before he sents it back, I thought I would share in case anyone is considering a Wintec fitted to their horse.
He has kindly kept his usual rates for this visit ( despite normally fitting 50+ horses per trip ) so this is a last chance to take advantage before prices increase next time!

To our grazers and Nolran’s visitors :

I’ve just noticed a broken post that hasn’t been reported, which is really disappointing...

I am a very respectful person so even if I was also upset about the potential damage to my car or trailer, I still can’t understand how someone could do something like this and not say anything or apologise. It’s simply respect and basic courtesy!
I’ve already had to follow up with kids not picking up after their horses when we are away but in this case I know an adult driver is responsible, which is even more frustrating.
It’s not the broken post that bothers me but the lack of honesty. Finding it ourselves instead of being told is not ok.
We genuinely enjoy sharing our property but situations like this make me question why I do it when we can’t rely on people to be respectful and upfront...

It’s now too late to organise a trial saddle with David Jones- Parry but we could potentially fit in a couple of extra fittings on Wednesday 22nd April if anyone else would like to book.

Prices are as follows :
- $95 for 1 rider / 1 horse / 1 saddle
- $50 extra for a second saddle ( same horse & rider )
- $75 for the same rider / second horse / 1 saddle
- Any gullets, pads, or risers are additional
- 1 x trial saddle : $75

Due to the current fuel situation, David will need to add a $10 fuel surcharge per person, which will be listed separately on the invoice.
