All my life I have been like a magnet to animals. Over the years, I have rescued, fostered and owned dogs, hedgehogs, cats, fish, ducks, birds, frogs, and calves. My love however, its cats. I currently have 4 cats of my own and although Id like to love every single one I rescue, I'm at cat-pacity! My oldest girl is 16 now, and my youngest is 7 months. All were rescues.
About 14 years ago, I started feeding a colony of stray/ wild cats that were living down at johns produce in oropi. Although I was helping by feeding them, I realised it wasnt enough. The kittens were having kittens... then those kittens were having kittens... it was a never ending issue and all I could see was starvation and disease. So I decided to help make a bigger difference. Over the years, where and when I can, I have cared for, des*xed, and rehomed over 40 cats and kittens.
Over the last week, I have des*xed and rehomed 6. I have 3 beautiful kittens currently, one who is healing from some nasty bite wounds who needs lots of antibiotics, rest and love. I'm greatful to be able to provide a safe place for him to recoverβ€οΈ
It is, and continues to be a journey. Its not all rainbows and cupcakes. Sometimes its sadness, anger and grief. But all the same, I love what I do, and thank everybody who helps me continue to do what I'm doing
Thank you!!!
