I owe you an update after that bombshell news a few days ago... 😆

After an emotional couple of weeks, we’ve made our decision — we won’t be going ahead with the adoption.

I’m a little sad about it, but ultimately we have to put our gentle, sensitive Finn first, and we don’t feel that particular puppy was the right match for him.

I do feel we are ready for a second dog — but it has to be the right dog for Finn and for our family. And I think when we meet the right one, it won’t be this hard to decide… we will just feel it in our hearts ❤️🐾

🚨 SHOCK ALERT! 🚨

We’re seriously considering adopting a puppy 😳😂🐾

Yep, you've read that right. It's a shock for us as well, believe me! 🙈

We’re considering adopting a Rottie cross puppy, so we decided to do a little experiment. Lovely Ranger came over for the afternoon to give us a taste of the breed and what life with two big dogs in the house might look like.

And honestly… he was AMAZING ❤️ He fitted in so well that by the end of the afternoon we were thinking “Hmmmm… maybe we could actually do this.” 😂

I’m not saying we’ve made any decisions yet… but this little test run definitely didn’t talk us out of it.

Today's walk could only be described as a gentle sniffari. Finn threw up at 2am and wasn't feeling it, poor thing. Frankee wasn't her energetic self either, but she quite enjoyed watching pukekos at the reserve. Now we're back at mine, chilling ❤️

So proud of Toby for learning the “away” command and improving his balance! 👏👏

When I first started working on it during our Wednesday adventures, he wouldn't even put his front paws up on a piece of driftwood. But after staying with us for three weeks and getting all that extra practice with Finn, look at him now 🤩
