Well, today was a success! Elsie and Jake mated naturally, which was fantastic news!
We have been checking Elsie’s progesterone this week and had an AI planned with our reproductive vet just in case, so it was a relief that they managed it naturally today.
Now we wait and see! I will be booking Elsie in for a scan in around 30 days, and hopefully we will have puppies on the way 🤞🐾
Once we have her scan results, I will email everyone on our current waitlist to let you know whether Elsie is pregnant 💛

🐾 Litter update! 🐾

A little update for everyone following our puppy plans! Both planned litters will be a mix of field and show lines 💛

Elsie & Jake | Puppies ready February 2027

Elsie has come into season a month earlier than expected, and we are planning to mate her with Jake soon. If all goes to plan, puppies will arrive around mid December and be ready for their new homes around mid February 2027.

This waiting list is full. Fingers crossed for puppies! 🤞

Our second planned litter | Mid to late 2027

Our next litter after Elsie’s is planned for mid to late 2027, with puppies expected to be ready for their new homes around September or October.

We still have some spaces available on this waiting list. If you would like more information or a puppy application form, please send me a message 😊

These are estimated dates for now, but I will keep you updated as plans come together!

I realised I still have not properly introduced our Cricket! 💛
Cricket will be 6 months old on the 16th of September, and it is hard to believe how quickly the time has gone!
Cricket is incredibly intelligent, always watching, learning and figuring things out. She has such a fun, cheeky personality and she seems to love annoying her older sister Demi 😂 She and Demi absolutely adore each other and spend most of their time playing together.
Cricket is by the amazing Daniel, GCHP CH Hillock’s Jack Daniel’s RA JH CA RATN CGC, and out of GLENAIC TURN BACK TIME.
Daniel has had incredible success in America, and I never imagined I would be lucky enough to have two of his daughters here at Cedarhill. First Demi, and now Cricket. It makes having these two girls together even more special. 💛
Thank you, Casey, for sending this gorgeous girl our way. She has fitted into our family so perfectly, and we absolutely adore her. 💛
Cricket really is the bestest girl, and I am so excited to watch her continue to grow and see what the future holds for her.

Lovely little update of Moko from our Jake x Navey litter. Its so nice hearing how well he’s doing. His family say people often comment on his temperament and how well he settles when they are out and about, which is always great to hear. He’s growing up into such a lovely boy, Its so nice getting updates like these 🥰

Her official hip and elbow results are back and she has a hip score of 1.

If you understand hip scoring, you’ll know how rare and amazing that is. The current 5 year Golden Retriever breed average is 10.57, with a median of 8. To come back with a total of 1 is exceptional. That is about as low as you can go.
