Magic day for dogwalking off leash at the beach❤️😎
Wednesday Bigs 🥰 OG’s have been walking together for 6 years…same place…same time…same crate buddy…
Us humans would find this very boring very quickly….dogs don’t . They can relax and enjoy their walk knowing exactly what comes next. I stop walking ….. they know to check in.
Last one in gets nothing and we keep walking.
I turn and walk in the opposite direction and the first one to notice and check in hits the jackpot (a fistful of treats).
We see another dog on the beach…I stop walking, they check in, I leash up the youngest and the others all sit and wait for their name to be called which = Possyum.
We practise this when we don’t need it so they remember what to do…..it’s not rocket science, but it is science.

Little OG’s Tuesday Thursday group☺️🐾 most of this crew have been walking together for 7 yrs and it fills my cup…..every time.
We walk the same route on the same day at the same time….they get picked up in the same order and ride with the same buddy and dropped off in the same order …..every time.

Dogs love the safety and predictability of a routine where they know what comes next…..off leash in the bush they know how to check in, how to stay together, and what happens at the fenceline😊it’s not rocket science , but it is science…. 💡

Monday just got a whole lot cuter at Kindypups 🥰 I’m thrilled to welcome Marvin, Vera, Danny, Bodie & Poppy for the next 6 weeks of early learning, socialisation & training to get them started off right🐾

The puppies comfort levels are managed with care on their first day which can be overwhelming, exciting and exhausting all at once. This is when we see big feelings surface so it’s super important to keep them feeling safe.

Today they learned;
✅ where to p*e
✅ to nap for an hour in their crates
✅ it’s safe to forage for food together at snufflemat time (building trust)
✅ who their play buddy is

It’s such a privilege to play a small part in these puppies early learning and I can’t wait to see what the next 6 weeks brings🥰

The next intake for KINDYPUPS is JUNE 8th and we currently have 3 places available (limit of 6 puppies per term).
It’s a 6 week early development, training and socialisation programme for puppies aged from 10wks to 24 wks.
Mondays and Fridays from 10-3pm
Free pick and drop off NP city.
Limit of 6 puppies per term.
$60 per day.
We follow vet approved protocols to keep your puppy safe during their Vacc period.
And we use Puppy Culture practises to get your pup started off right💡

Time flies when you’re having fun!
These KINDYPUPS have completed their 6 weeks of early development, socialisation and training 🥰 and I will miss them all dearly.
I am forever grateful to their owners for trusting me with their precious pups and investing in their future well-being.
This is the first step in their journey to adulthood and there is still much to learn, but they have learned that the world can be safe and this will give them confidence to trust, which is the first building block that lays the foundation through to adulthood.
Congratulations Poppy, Bodie, Mac, Elka, Nala, Kenny & Kiko ☺️

After naptime, it’s snufflemat time at Kindypups. This is an important part of early social development for the puppies not only to learn that it’s safe to forage for food together, but also to introduce new things.
We do this when arousal levels are low which helps to keep them feeling safe. Sniffing is a great way to manage this as it can lower respiratory rates which all helps with calmness.
Week 2 we introduced them to my older dogs (mature, balanced dogs who are great with puppies🥰) They could choose whether to interact, or opt out at any time. This all helps to shape their view…… SAFE OR DANGEROUS. ❤️
