Here are a few photos of a lovely wallet I made last week for someone. A simple design with enough space to hold your notes, 10+ cards plus a clear section for your ID or business cards. Made using a lovely soft full grain leather and hand stitched, it will age beautifully.

How about this little number for a bit of festive bling?

Gold mottled hair-on hide, with a soft cream doe skin back, lined with gold feathers. Pretty stunning if I do say so myself.

This bag will be on display tomorrow morning at The Department of Curiosities and Fine Things.

After posting the last photos of my hair-on hides totes Jaimie got in touch with me and asked if I could make her one. After working through lots of samples of leather and linings to match Jamie's tastes this is the end result-
a soft creamy brown Hair-on with a right brown backing and Sedgwicks best bridle leather for straps. The inside is lined with a soft green with leaping hares, with a large zip pocket. I've also added 2 magnetic closures at Jaimie's request.
I hope you love it as much as I do

Made these two tote bags today. Hair-on hide with soft leather backing and a large internal pocket. A great size for carrying all the 'stuff' we ladies somehow accumulate 🤣🤣🤣

They will be going into The Department of Curiosities and Fine Things in Napier tomorrow. Pop on down to have a look.

I've been wanting to share this one for a couple of weeks but as it was a birthday present for Wendy I had to hold off.

Wendy is in the middle of her degree and wanted a bag to carry her laptop and thick books. Being a classy but outdoors lady I designed a bag to reflect that. I used an oiled leather, with brass fittings to accentuate the traditional style of briefcase. Fully hand stitched, with 2 pockets - one to hold her 17" laptop and the other for all her books with pockets on either side, one for her mouse and one for her mobile phone/wallet.

I hope you have a great birthday Wendy and get many years of use from your new bag which will only get better with age 🎁🎂💝

I was trying to work out how best to add a phone pocket to a bag I am making. Ben saw me struggling, as it is an unusual size due to the wallet style cover, so he mocked me this up! Perfect!
