Today is Pet Obesity Awareness Day! 🐶🐶

It is a good opportunity to take an honest look at your dog and have that chat with your pet health professional.

A small change in their diet and/or exercise regime may be all that is required to help your partner live their best life.

For us, it was a change from ultra-processed food to a raw, whole-food diet. 🌱

We are excited to now be stocking TRI3X Senior Active here at Zest Paw Life!

It has come at an opportune time for us as Ace is recovering from an IVDD episode and Barkley has also had a flair up recently.

We have put them both straight on TRI3X as part of their recovery program.

During week one we used TRI3X mixed with warm water to encourage them both to drink and keep hydrated. They loved it!

Now we are in week 2 of recovery; they are getting it sprinkled on their breakfast, and again they are licking the bowl clean.

We have been a little bit quiet on socials this week as we are negotiating having two dogs that are feeling a bit poorly.

Barkley is currently going through an IVDD flair up and is on strict crate rest (the couch counts when I am sitting next to her too 😁).

Ace was rushed to the vet yesterday with suspected IVDD as he was very wobbly. The vet is doubtful that it is IVDD in this case as his x-ray looked fine, but he did have a fractured molar which she removed and he has a partially torn cruciate ligament which he is booked in to have treatment on.
He is on some pretty stong painkillers and still unable to walk as of this morning so we are keeping a very close eye on him.
He is also confined to the puppy pen which he is not always too happy about.

All this is quite stressful for our whole household (including Parker).

We will be soldiering on the best we can.
