Teacher's Pets - Dog Walking

09/10/2026

We had Zayn the little helper come along for our walk today. The dogs loved him because he brought snacks, energy and a ball to play fetch. They're looking forward to the next time he comes along on an adventure 😀 🐾

Today we did something a little different! 🌸🐾

After a good run around and explore, we headed to the cherry blossom trees, hoping to get some lovely photos. It turns out that a pack of dogs attracts almost as much attention as the blossoms! With so many people stopping for pats and photos, getting our own photos proved pretty much impossible.

Instead of getting frustrated, we made the most of it as a learning opportunity, and the dogs made me incredibly proud. Even with people approaching from all directions, they stayed calm, listened beautifully and handled all the excitement so well.

I did my best to advocate for their space, although the attention wasn’t always easy to manage. Moments like these remind me why we put so much time into training: helping the dogs feel confident, stay connected with me and cope when things don’t go quite to plan.

We might not have come away with the photos I’d imagined, but I came away feeling very proud of this pack. 💛
