🐾 Introducing the M Team! 🐾

Please prepare yourselves for the most beautiful litter of puppies you ever did see! 😍

Meet our fabulous five:

🐭 Mouse — a very sweet girl
🦈 Mako — he’s always ready for an adventure.
🧙 Merlin — our magical little girl.
🍰 Mousse — sweet, soft and utterly irresistible.
🥩 Meatloaf — because every litter needs a goofball!

Five adorable faces, five very different personalities, and approximately 500% more puppy chaos. 😂🐶

We’re completely smitten with this gorgeous bunch, but it’s time for them to find their forever homes now. Their beautiful Mum will also be ready for adoption soon, so watch this space 👀

We think they will grow to be at least medium size, and we think they might have some Boxer in their mix. We’ve included a pic of their sweet mama Minnie, so you can make your own guesses 🤣

• Refusing to disclose the whereabouts of his girlfriends
• Leaving Mum to deal with the consequences
• Producing kittens and puppies at an alarming rate

Last seen: Wandering the neighbourhood looking for his next rendezvous 👀

If your boy is out there making babies, it’s time to retire him from the dating scene. He may not thank you for it… but your neighbourhood definitely will.

📺 Our centre has become a little famouse this week!

You may have seen our mice on Seven Sharp Tuesday night (1st September), and we were also on at the very end of Breakfast yesterday morning. Both shows can be viewed on TVNZ on demand if you missed them. We’re also doing an update on Seven Sharp next Tuesday 8th!

We’ve had a great response to these mousechevious little creatures and have had some adoptions this week, but we still have quite a few available. If you’re interested, just give us a call or send an email, and you can also message our page for information.

The Kerikeri SPCA has been swamped with dozens of pet mice.

🥹 161 days later… Tofu is finally home! 🏡❤️

After arriving into our care as a young puppy and spending 161 days waiting for his forever family, Tofu’s wait finally came to an end yesterday.

His amazing adopter, Wayne, drove up from Auckland in the pouring rain to collect him — once again showing us the incredible commitment some people are willing to make when they know they’ve found “their” dog. ❤️

We’ve had adopters travel long distances for our animals before, and every time it reminds us that sometimes the perfect match is worth the extra kilometres, the long drive and even a whole lot of rain! 🌧️🚗

Tofu has waited patiently, and we couldn’t be happier that his next chapter is finally beginning.

Congratulations Tofu — you’ve waited long enough. Now go enjoy your forever! 🐾❤️

🧵🪡 We’d like to say Thank You to some wonderfully kind and thoughtful children who popped into our kennels today with the most gorgeous surprise for our dogs….. handmade toys - stitched with love and given their very own names! 🥹

Each toy was lovingly created with our shelter dogs in mind, and we think the imagination and creativity that went into them is just gorgeous. From choosing the designs and fabrics to stitching them together and giving each one a name, these kids put so much thought into making something special for animals they hadn’t even met. 🐶

Our dogs are going to have so much fun playing with their new toys!

Thank you so much for sharing your creativity, kindness and big hearts with our shelter dogs. You’ve made their day (and ours) a little brighter. 🥰🐾

❤️ Cove’s happy ending ❤️

When Cove arrived at our centre, he was very underweight and understandably frightened. He was scared of our staff and wasn’t sure that humans could be trusted.

So we took our time. We spent hours gently showing Cove that people could be kind, patient and safe. Slowly but surely, the scared little boy began to trust us — and what a transformation it was! 🥹

Before long, Cove had turned into the happiest, cuddliest little lovebug, ready to find his forever family. ❤️

And four weeks ago, his amazing adopter Megan drove all the way from Katikati to collect him and take him home. 🚗🐾

Just look at him now! These photos of Cove in his new home say everything. He is happy, loved, and exactly where he belongs. 🥰

We’ve been so incredibly lucky to have several adopters travel long distances to come and meet — and ultimately take home — one of our dogs. The commitment some people are willing to make to give a shelter animal their forever home absolutely amazes us.

Thank you, Megan, and thank you to every adopter who has gone the extra mile for one of our animals. We appreciate you more than you know. ❤️🐾

And Cove… we think you’ve done pretty well for yourself. 🥹❤️

💕 Sister Act!🐾

These two gorgeous girls are currently living their very best puppy lives in a loving foster home with children. 🥰

Evie and Esme have been soaking up all the love, cuddles and attention that family life has to offer, and are growing into happy, affectionate little pups.

Now they’re ready to find their own forever families, where they can continue being spoiled, loved and part of the family. ❤️
