🐾✨ We have seen a lot of adorable faces come through our doors this month, but we just had to stop and share today’s special visitor — meet Maple! 🍁

This little golden girl is a brand new addition to her family, and honestly? She has already stolen every single heart in the clinic. 😍 From the moment she waddled in, we were absolutely smitten.

Maple spent her visit doing what all great future doctors do — thoroughly inspecting the stethoscope 👩‍⚕️🔬 (someone’s already studying up!). We think she’s got a bright future ahead of her… possibly in veterinary medicine? 😂

To Maple’s family — you are SO lucky, and she is SO loved. Welcome to the world, little one. We can’t wait to watch you grow! 🐶💛

Meet this gorgeous boy 🐱💙✨

Boo came in for his neuter procedure and was an absolute superstar 🌟 From the moment he arrived, we focused on keeping everything calm, gentle, and stress-free 🌈🫶

With cozy blankets, soft handling, and lots of reassurance 💕, his experience was smooth and comfortable from start to finish.

Neutering is an important step for your cat’s health 🩺💚—and with the right care, it can be a positive experience too 🌼🐾

He recovered beautifully and was soon back to his curious, cheeky self 😻✨

Meet beautiful Freya 💕

Freya recently came in to be spayed, and like many pets, she experiences separation anxiety and can feel nervous around strangers. At Howick Village Vets, we’re passionate about creating a calm, fear-free experience tailored to every pet’s individual needs 🐾

To support Freya, we designed a gentle, personalised plan:
✨ Her mum stayed with her on the sofa in our waiting room to help her feel safe
✨ We administered a light sedation injection without her even noticing
✨ Once she was sleepy, her mum stayed by her side in the treatment room until she was ready for the next step
✨ This meant no cages, no added stress, and a smooth, calm transition into surgery

Freya wasn’t aware when her mum quietly slipped away, and she recovered beautifully after her procedure with continued light sedation to keep her relaxed 💗

We’re so happy to report that Freya is doing wonderfully, and her mum was thrilled with how calm and comfortable the whole process was!
