2. Scent dogs need breakfast!

Yee et al. (2026) found that dogs working before breakfast produced more false alarms, suggesting hunger may increase dogs' tendency to respond to non-target odours.

Fountain et al. (2026) found that unfed dogs showed more whining and interaction with the equipment, indicating mild frustration associated with hunger. However, frustration behaviours were generally infrequent and varied between individual dogs.

A recent scientific study found that 5-12% of dog injuries occur on dog walks, with 15% of respondents noting a fall off a dog walk, and 30% a 'close call' in the last 6 months.

I'm so excited that my first Clean Run fitness class is open for registration!

Agility contacts are a physically difficult skill. And when you consider the speed that many running contacts are being performed, the potential for injury is high.

This class has targetted fitness exercises to develop confidence, power, and stability for all agility dogs regardless of the type of contact behaviour you train.
