Recently my small human and I visited our local Zoo. We managed to catch a few keeper talks. This goat had some cool targeting behaviours including a chin rest, and front foot target. They're still working on back feet targeting!
Back feet targeting is hard! Dogs (like this goat) can't see the target on their field of vision. When we combine that with some dogs who have poor proprioception in their rear end it makes this a really hard skill!
Targeting unsurprisingly is a big focus on Targeting Fitness. Also having clear and consistent communication and training methods. Theres still time to join class!
