When I was just a little boy,
my momma said to me.
My boy you have potential,
on the show bench you will be.
We did some preparation,
from when I was really young.
At first I was not confident,
but it turned out to be fun.
You meet a lot of Judges,
some are quite insecure.
They pin you to the table top,
quite sure that's out of fear.
I try to put them all at ease,
so quietly I will lay.
Some tuck away the feather stick,
the ‘Kill Switch’ kept at bay.
Judge Sue was not at all like this,
her confidence prevailed.
She whispered sweet nothings in my ear,
that would wash away all the fear.
The numbers were huge ..the noise was loud,
I had never seen such a big crowd.
Sue then showed me the sign of Peace✌️,
Totally putting me right at ease.
She talked about my heritage,
and the placement of my ears ✌️
But secretly that sign again ,
to wash away my fears.
I had a great experience,
with Judge Sue that day,
she brought out her favorite twitch,
and trusted me to play.
So apart from all the fun,
of getting out to play.
I get to snooze and snooze some more,
actually for most of the day..
