Absolutely stunning nature. Easy to do anything and everything with.

Unfortunately her broodmare days are finished due to uterus breakdown so she is being offered as a paddock mate.

🌟 KCN Sangria 🌟

2-year-old mare
Out of KCN Black Emerald (pictured)
By Candyman GNZ (Casall)/Westminster C**t

Beautifully bred young mare available as a broodmare prospect.

Craisen had a paddock accident as a foal which has left her with a scar on her hind leg. She is sound, however we are unsure whether she would hold up to competition so we feel her future is best suited to breeding.

She has incredibly expressive movement, a lovely gentle nature, and all the basics are well established. She is good to float, trim, cover, lead and tie.

With her pedigree, movement and temperament, Craisen would be a real asset to a quality breeding programme.

🌟 KCN Crickey Moses 🌟

Yearling C**t
EHM 15.3-16hh

Out of Fudge (Alamosa)
By KCN Zak (pictured, now gelded)
(By Rei Huia Hemi (Littorio / Corlando / Laughtons Legend) Out of a Kiwi Emillion / JK Sacramento mare)

KCN Zak has an exceptional temperament and has shown his versatility across the disciplines. He has shown his diversity as a genuine hunter, he has the elegance, presence and brain for the show hunter ring, as well as turning his toes to show jumping. He is incredibly trainable, willing and straightforward, with a fantastic nature both under saddle and on the ground. The type of temperament and versatility we are very excited to see coming through in his progeny.

Moses is a quality, upstanding young c**t with the breeding, presence and athleticism to make an exciting prospect for the future.

He is light on his feet with elegant, expressive movement and a lovely presence.

All the basics are done - good to cover, trim, tie and handle.

With his quality breeding and natural athleticism, Moses has all the ingredients to develop into a lovely performance horse across a range of disciplines.

A genuine young horse for someone looking for a quality prospect to produce for the future.

Competitive home only.

Pretty stoked to see KCN Zak nominated for the NZWA Horse of Distinction Awards 🥹🦄

Zak is one of those special homebred gems that just keeps on giving. Fun, gorgeous, versatile and easy - pretty much what 99% of riders want in a horse.

There are so many hours, hard work, decisions and a fair bit of hope that go into breeding horses, and then even more time goes into producing them and giving them the opportunity to show what they can do. To see a horse you bred yourself get to this point makes all of that feel pretty worthwhile.

Zak has shown just how versatile he is, turning his hoof to everything asked of him and doing it with the temperament and attitude that has always made him so special to us.

And if anyone fancies breeding their own little Zak unicorn 🦄 we have a limited number of frozen straws safely tucked away in the bank.

We also have a lovely yearling by Zak currently available for someone looking for their own future star ✨

Very proud of our boy ❤️

What a fantastic representation of the quality of sport horses being bred right here in New Zealand. 🇳🇿

Ewen Macintosh, as breeder of LT Holst Freda, will receive the beautiful Horse of Distinction crystal trophy, proudly sponsored this year by MVS EquiBreed – leaders in equine reproduction.

The Horse of Distinction Awards celebrate exceptional performance, but at their heart they are about recognising the breeders behind the horses - the people who made the mating decisions and produced the athletes we now see succeeding in sport.

🏷️ Please help us spread the word!
If you know any of the breeders listed above, please tag them in the comments or share this post with them. Not everyone follows our page, and we would love to make sure every breeder knows their horse has been recognised amongst this year’s outstanding nominees.

Congratulations to Ewen and everyone connected with the remarkable LT Holst Freda, and congratulations to every breeder represented in our 2026 Showjumping Horse of Distinction nominations. 🏆🇳🇿

🌟 KCN Hudson 🌟

Hudson is ticking along nicely. Time restraints over the past six months have meant his work has been a little on and off, but we’ve been happy to give him the time he needs to grow, strengthen and mature.

He’s proving to be an exciting young horse with all the ingredients to make something very special. We aren’t in a rush with him - he has the talent, and giving him time now will only benefit him in the long run.

In the right hands, we truly believe Hudson has all the potential to become a very special professional mount. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for this lovely young horse, he is going to make someone very happy 🤩
