🌟 KCN Hudson 🌟

Hudson is ticking along nicely. Time restraints over the past six months have meant his work has been a little on and off, but we’ve been happy to give him the time he needs to grow, strengthen and mature.

He’s proving to be an exciting young horse with all the ingredients to make something very special. We aren’t in a rush with him - he has the talent, and giving him time now will only benefit him in the long run.

In the right hands, we truly believe Hudson has all the potential to become a very special professional mount. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for this lovely young horse, he is going to make someone very happy 🤩

Meet the ladies….

Sire: Rei Huia Ranginamu (by Littorio out of Flash - Holstein cross Irish mare by Corlando)

Dam: Rei Huia Vottie (by Craighaven Voila (by Valiant - out of Scarlett Rising (by Primitive Rising)

Scarlett Rising competed Intermediate Eventing in England before being imported as the only Primitive Rising Broodmare in NZ. Primitive Rising also the sire to 2010 Rolex Kentucky winner ridden by William Fox Pitt.

Storm is our third and final exciting addition this season - in foal to our young resident stallion KCN Bolensky (by Cornet Obolensky out of Rei Huia Ginger (Sunset Sam LS/Genius).

This cross combines some truly exceptional sport horse genetics, blending proven eventing, jumping, and performance bloodlines from both sides of the pedigree. Storm’s pedigree is rich in athleticism, endurance, and versatility, with strong influences from internationally recognised eventing and jumping lines. Paired with the modern scope, carefulness, and world-class jumping influence of Cornet Obolensky through Boss.

This is a cross we are incredibly excited about and one we believe has all the ingredients for a very special future sport horse.

In foal to our young resident stallion KCN Bolensky (by Cornet Obolensky out of Rei Huia Ginger (Sunset Sam LS/Genius)).

This cross brings together proven performance bloodlines from both sides of the pedigree. Milly’s maternal line has consistently produced successful horses at Grand Prix level, demonstrating athleticism, rideability, and longevity in the sport. Combined with the world-renowned jumping influence of Cornet Obolensky through Boss, this foal carries an exciting blend of established Grand Prix genetics, modern sport horse athleticism, and exceptional performance potential.

Raisen as she’s known at home, is our first mare due this season - cooking up our very first Boss bun 🤩

This exciting cross combines Raisen’s proven athleticism, toughness, and versatility with the sensational international jumping blood of Cornet Obolensky. With Boss bringing scope, elegance, and modern sport horse type, we are hoping for a foal that blends trainability, athletic ability, and performance potential. Given the quality already produced by Raisen, we’re eagerly awaiting the arrival of this special foal and looking forward to seeing what this combination delivers.

2025 - WHAT A YEAR! The highs well outweigh the lows 💁🏽‍♀️

New page, KCNs main man cutting shapes, 6 horses sold, 2 standout foals, and some incredible new broodmares added along the way. Not bad for two busy gals chasing what we love through the chaos.

We’re heading into 2026 with bigger goals, bigger dreams, and plenty of excitement. We can’t wait to see what we achieve next!
