Let’s Compare Foam Quality 👆🏽

It’s one of those things that you really “don’t know, until you know” and I get a lot of messages from people asking me:
“What is the difference?”

So here’s a quick explanation and visual comparison. There is a lot more that goes into foam quality and understanding of its made from certified safe materials but this is a good place to start if you’ve been looking for answers in your journey to finding your dog the best bed.

You will find that most pet store dog beds and other dog bed brands have a standard foam thickness of 8 - 10CM.

Whereas I intentionally built the Floof n Fluff bed to have the thickest foam on the market at 14CM! 🤩

This is what it’s all about for me 🤎

Because she didn’t just know my brand. She knew me, she knew my dog.

Because in a world that can feel pretty surface-level and fake sometimes, moments like this feel real. Especially being a small business owner, where people can often treat you as an entity rather than a human.

She’d been watching my content. She’d taken the time to remember my dogs name. And in that tiny little detail, I could tell there was a real person behind the message - someone who loves her dog deeply, who is just as obsessed with her dog as I am, and who genuinely wants the very best for them 🥹

Finding my people and building a community of obsessed dog mums, dog dads and genuinely kind humans who love their dogs with their whole heart. The people who care about the little things. The people who want to give their dogs the absolute best life they can - that is what its all about for me 🫶🏽

Its these people that remind me exactly why I built Floof n Fluff and, more importantly, who I built it for 🤎

If you live with a reactive dog, you learn pretty quickly that the little things can make a BIG difference.

For Keani, sleep is one of those things 😴

She came to me at around 6 months old with significant fear-based reactivity towards both dogs and people. Five years of training, safe exposure to the world and learning how to understand her has taught me just how much her daily state can affect how she copes with the world.

And one thing I never expected to make such a noticeable difference?

SLEEP 👈🏽

When Keani is well rested, she has a lot more patience, more capacity to cope and is much better at disengaging from things that would normally overwhelm her.

When she’s tired? Her threshold is so much lower. Even things she normally loves can become too much.

Watching the difference after creating the Floof n Fluff bed for her was honestly incredible. Seeing her sleep more deeply and then watching how that translated into her behaviour during the day really drove home just how important quality rest on a quality bed is.

A good bed isn’t going to “fix” reactivity.

But giving your dog a comfortable, supportive and safe place to properly switch off can be one small but incredibly important part of helping them get the rest their body and nervous system needs 🤎
