Had a great weekend away catching up with fellow enthusiasts at the Clydesdale Horse Society of New Zealand AGM in Christchurch.
We were awarded a Society silver medal for Blackwood Crystal who won best bred yearling or two year old, c**t or filly shown by exhibitor at the New Zealand Clydesdale Championships in March.

Went to Stratford Royal A&P Show today. We decided to take the two yearling fillies as an educational outing. They both did us proud with their behaviour and even better Blackwood Crystal won 1st in the yearling c**t or filly class and Reserve Champion. It was great to see a 3 year old gelding we sold recently in the show ring and he won the ridden class. A real credit to Lauren Rose's horsemanship and schooling.

Blackwood Jade at 10.30pm Saturday night in the only break in the rain for the past 5 days had a black c**t foal named Blackwood Knight. Knight is quickly becoming a seahorse as we have had 300mls since he was born.

Blackwood Opal at 3am yesterday morning had a huge c**t foal named Blackwood Chieftain. Chieftain is very vigorous on the teat, and already tearing around the paddock. 1 done, 1 to go.
