"Mission Pawssible" is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping stray animals in crisis situations and countries, with a focus on North Africa and the Balkans (e.g. Tunisia, Romania, Moldova, Bosnia, Croatia). In these countries there is a huge stray animals population and there are barely any shelters or active organisations. The possibilities to cure sick animals are limited and there are
big cultural barriers to overcome. Lots of animals are living and dying in misery on the street. In Tunisia stray dogs are considered impure and they are systematically shot by the municipal police in horrific killing campaigns. "Mission Pawssible" started in Tunisia in 2010 and has grown steadily into a very successful project, with more than 1,500 adoptions over the past 12 years all across Europe and in the USA. Our projects include: rescues, adoptions, spay and neuter, education about sterilization, responsible pet ownership & respect for animals. Mission Pawssible is a registered non-profit organization in the US, with 501c3 status (meaning your donations are tax deductible). More than half our rescues are special needs animals, with a handicap, normally considered “unadoptable”(e.g. blind, deaf, three-legged, in a wheelchair). We rescue them, we find them loving homes and we prove that they also deserve a chance to live happy and loved. We strive to give hope to the hopeless and to make the impossible “pawssible”. Our list of supporters is increasing daily and we try to get assistance from all over the world to promote this initiative and help raise funds, so that we are able to save as many as we can. We are volunteers and we do not receive any sponsorship or funding from the government, we rely entirely on donations. Every donation makes a difference and is greatly appreciated.
