Why Your 19-Day-Old Lamb Cannot Stand β What You Should Do Immediately!
A newborn lamb that is 19 days old but still cannot stand or walk is a sign of a serious underlying problem.
Here are the most common causes you should check:

1. Weak Kid Syndrome (WKS)
This happens when the lamb did not get colostrum (first milk) well.
Symptoms:
β Weak legs
β Cannot stand
β Needs support to drink milk

2. Joint Ill / Navel Infection
Infection enters through the navel after birth.
Symptoms:
β Swollen joints
β Pain when standing
β Lamb prefers lying down

3. Mineral Deficiency (Calcium / Selenium / Vitamin E)
This causes White Muscle Disease.
Symptoms:
β Lamb is weak

βοΈ Give Calcium supplement
βοΈ Massage the legs gently 2β3 times daily
βοΈ Support the lamb to stand while feeding
βοΈ Provide warm bedding and keep it dry
βοΈ If joints are swollen β give Oxytetracycline LA
