✨ WELCOME BACK “GOLDEN” ✨
From Flaxen Gold to Corin 🐾💛
Welcome back to the world of Golden British Shorthairs on the show stage, following their official recognition by WCF 🎉
This significant change opens the door for Golden-coloured cats to return to the show ring more actively, giving breeders and Golden enthusiasts greater opportunities to develop and improve the colour to its full potential.
🏆 So, what is the big change?
In the past, Golden cats—especially those with white feet—often faced limitations in cat shows, making it challenging to develop and promote this colour within the show world.
With this latest change, many of those restrictions are set to change.
This means that, going forward, we may see more Golden British Shorthairs competing on the show stage, with greater opportunities to achieve higher positions and prestigious awards in the future. 🏆✨
More importantly, this recognition is not only about cat shows. It also opens the door for breeders and Golden enthusiasts to seriously plan, develop, and improve their bloodlines.
📅 This change will take effect on 1 November 2026.
This is therefore more than just a change in the rules—it marks another important milestone for Golden British Shorthairs. 💛
And after 1 November…
Get ready to see Golden return to the show stage once again. 👑✨
❗️Please wait for the official update regarding the show rules and EMS colour codes. The association will provide another update very soon. ❗️
Welcome back, Golden.
The stage is yours. 💛🐾
