🐍 Breeding is a one-way road. 😭
Once you get into it, there’s really no turning back…
This year, we have around 800+ Hognose Snake eggs and 200+ Black Kingsnake eggs.
To get to this point, we used around 100+ breeding pairs for pairing and breeding.
But not every pairing goes smoothly.
Some eggs turn out to be slugs, some snakes don’t lay at all, and unfortunately, there are also cases of malformed babies…
The amount of hard work, stress, time, and hidden costs behind breeding is something most people never get to see.
And just one simple example:
🐭 We go through more than 1,000 feeder mice every single week.
Not to mention the cost and effort involved in maintaining breeding adults, managing temperatures, pairing snakes, incubating eggs, caring for hatchlings, getting babies to feed, and so much more…
