Snot Millipede (Siphonophoridae sp.) โ€” one of the weirdest millipedes Iโ€™ve ever kept!

And guess what? They give birth to live young! ๐Ÿคฏ

Theyโ€™re not very well-known in the invertebrate hobby, so I honestly didnโ€™t expect much when I first got them. At first, they didnโ€™t seem interested in any of the food I offered. That was until I introduced mushroom substrate covered with mycelium โ€” they absolutely loved it! ๐Ÿ„

Recently, I also offered them some bracket mushrooms, andโ€ฆ boom! I spotted babies!

Iโ€™m not sure whether the bracket mushrooms played a role in encouraging them to reproduce, but they certainly seem to enjoy eating them. Now, letโ€™s hope all the little ones grow up healthy! โœจ
