We are Terry & Shanny, two 3-year-old siblings who were left behind in a house in Veracruz when our owner moved away to Cabo San Lucas. 💔
When we were found, we needed help desperately.
🐶 Terry — Male
Terry is the scruffy boy who was covered in terrible, heavy mats. His coat showed just how long he had gone without proper care. Underneath all of those mats, however, was the sweetest, happiest little guy waiting to come out. ❤️

🐶 Shanny — Female
Shanny is the girl on the right in our happy pictures. She was abandoned alongside her brother, but she never lost her beautiful spirit.
Thankfully, Beyond Borders Dog Rescue took us into their care. ❤️
And LOOK AT US NOW! 😍
Clean, groomed, comfortable and HAPPY! The last pictures say everything — Terry standing behind Shanny with his paws around her while both of them smile like they know their lives are finally changing. 😂💕🐾
We are now getting everything we need to become fully vetted and ready for adoption in Canada. 🇨🇦
✈️ We are hoping to fly from Mexico City to Vancouver in September, once our adoptive homes are secured.
And although we are siblings and love each other, we DO NOT have to be adopted together. We can each have our own wonderful forever family. 🏡❤️

🐾💕 POOCHINI’S STORY — FROM THE STREETS OF MEXICO TO A BEAUTIFUL LIFE IN QUÉBEC 🇲🇽✈️🇨🇦
Sometimes you look at the after picture and it’s almost impossible to believe the before. This is Poochini. ❤️
When Poochini was first reported, she was a tiny female dog literally surviving on the streets. She was filthy, badly infested with fleas, and terrified of people.
She had been reported many times, but catching her was incredibly difficult. Every time someone tried to approach her, she would run. She hid underneath cars and kept her distance from humans because fear was all she knew.
We kept trying. We knew we couldn’t leave her there.
Then one night, someone was finally able to catch her. 🙏🐾
The first photos show just how neglected she was. Her fur was dirty, tangled and full of fleas. Even her little paws showed what life on the streets had done to her.
And then came the bath... 🛁❤️
Underneath all that dirt was the most beautiful little Snow White. 🤍🐶
Suddenly we could see the sweet little dog who had been hiding underneath all that neglect. She was absolutely beautiful.
Of course, rescue doesn’t end with a bath. Poochini still needed her veterinary protocol and everything necessary to prepare her for adoption and eventually travel to Canada.
But something wonderful happened before I even really had time to post her for adoption.
Someone saw Poochini and fell in love with her exactly as she was. ❤️
No perfect adoption pictures were needed. No long campaign. Someone simply looked at this little survivor and knew she belonged in their family.
On July 22, 2026, Poochini boarded her flight from Mexico to Vancouver. 🇲🇽✈️🇨🇦
The airport pictures tell another part of her story: the little street dog who once ran away from every human was now being held, kissed and loved. She was surrounded by people helping rescued dogs begin their new lives in Canada.
And Poochini’s journey didn’t stop in Vancouver.
From Vancouver, she continued all the way to Québec, where she now lives her new life. 🏡🇨🇦❤️
Look at her today — clean, fluffy, bright-eyed, smiling and loved.
The frightened little dog hiding underneath cars is gone.
Today she knows what it means to have a family.
To be safe.
To be held.
To be wanted.
And most importantly, to be loved. 💕
From a flea-infested little dog surviving on the streets of Mexico...
to Poochini, the beautiful Snow White living happily in Québec. 🤍🐾
This is why we rescue.

We cannot save every dog at once, but every single dog we save matters.
💕 Saving one dog will not change the world...
but for that one dog, you will change their entire world. 💕

🐾💜 TERRY & SHANNY — FROM ABANDONED TO A NEW BEGINNING 💜🐾

Meet Terry and Shanny, a brother and sister who are both 3 years old. Their story is heartbreaking, but from today forward, we want their lives to be about love, safety and second chances. ❤️

🏚️ LEFT BEHIND

Terry and Shanny once had a home and an owner. But when their owner moved to another state, these two were left behind in the house.

For months, they remained there without the care and attention every dog deserves. Someone would occasionally come to check on them, but they were essentially left behind, waiting for a family that was no longer coming back.

When we finally took them into our rescue, Terry was in especially bad condition. His coat was extremely dirty, dry and painfully matted. Underneath all those mats was a beautiful little boy who simply needed someone to care.

Shanny had gone through the same abandonment beside her brother, but despite everything, she remains a sweet little girl. 💕

They have just arrived into our care at Beyond Borders Dog Rescue, so we are still learning more about their personalities every day. We will continue sharing photos, videos and updates as we get to know them better. 🐾

For now, one thing is certain: their days of being forgotten are over.

Terry and Shanny will receive everything they need, including their complete veterinary care, vaccines, health checks and spay/neuter surgeries. ✅

🇲🇽 ✈️ 🇨🇦 FROM MEXICO CITY TO VANCOUVER

Once they are ready and an approved adopter or secure foster home is found, they will be able to fly from Mexico City to Vancouver, Canada to begin the next chapter of their lives.

❤️ THEY DO NOT HAVE TO BE ADOPTED TOGETHER.

Although Terry and Shanny are siblings and have been through so much together, we understand that finding one home for two dogs can be difficult. They can absolutely be adopted separately. What matters most is finding the right loving family for each of them.

After months of being left behind, they deserve to know what it feels like to be chosen.

🐾💕 MEET FRASS — FROM ABANDONED TO LOVED 💕🐾

Frass was rescued in April 2026, when she was only about 5 weeks old. She was found completely alone on the street. After asking around, we learned that this tiny baby had simply been left there and abandoned. 💔

Frass has grown from a tiny abandoned puppy into a beautiful, loving young girl. And that special dark marking on her face is completely natural — it makes her even more unique. 😍
We recently had a flight to Canada, but unfortunately Frass couldn't be on it because she had not yet been spayed. Her turn will come! ✈️🇨🇦
For now, I will be posting lots of videos so everyone can see her wonderful personality. We are hoping that somewhere out there, a family will see Frass and fall completely in love with her. ❤️
She survived being abandoned. Now she deserves the beautiful part of her story:

🐾 FOSTER OR ADOPT WALTER & JOSIE 🐾
Meet Walter and Josie, two beautiful puppies rescued in Mexico who are ready to begin their new lives in Canada.
🤎 Walter is a male.
🤍 Josie is a female.
They each weigh 7 kg and are expected to grow into medium-sized dogs. Both are fully vetted, vaccinated, spayed/neutered, healthy, and ready for adoption.
These two are full of love and energy! They are: 🐶 Great with all dogs
🐱 Good with cats
👧 Wonderful with children
❤️ Friendly with everyone they meet
🎾 Playful, affectionate, and eager to be part of a loving family
✈️ We have flight spots available from Mexico City to Vancouver next week, and we are urgently looking for foster homes. Fostering gives dogs like Walter and Josie the opportunity to adjust to life in Canada while they wait for their forever families.
