Hi my name is Gia and I'm about 9 months old and 30 pounds. I was found as a stray in KY after I had been hit by a car. I lost my right eye in the accident but no other injuries were found. I'm so thankful someone picked me up and brought me for care. I wasn't claimed at the shelter, no one can figure out why because I am such a sweet girl.
It seems like I lived a life outdoors, but that is all behind me now. I was a shelter favorite and a rock star when I arrived in NY because I have such a sweet personality. I am sticking close to my foster mom, I don't know if that will change once I get more settled and realize she will always be there. I am friendly with all the dogs in my foster home.
I would love a family/person to love me because I have so much love to give. I am a kisser! I'm still a puppy with many new things to learn. I am working on my housebreaking so at this time I am too young to stay home alone all day or night. Someone who works from home or is a stay at home parent would be perfect.
I haven't tried out any of toys, I really don't know what they are. The shelter had benebones for us, so occasionally I'll chew on one. Mom threw a ball and I watched it go down the sidewalk. I don't know why she did that because she had to go pick it up. She told me I was supposed to chase after it and bring it back to her. Um, I had no idea.
If you like to go for walks I would love to tag along. I'm pretty good on a leash and I love meeting everyone. I'm just a happy girl with a wagging tail!
