Eleventh Hour Rescue is made up of dedicated individuals who believe that innocent pets deserve love and a place to live where they are honored and cared for. We rescue dogs and cats at the "eleventh hour"--when they are scheduled to be put to death by shelters who can no longer care for them. We give the dogs and cats all the medical attention they require, a place to live, and through our adoption services, a second chance at a happy and fulfilled life. We are affiliated with many like-minded animal groups throughout the United States. We invite caring people to join us as volunteers and graciously accept help in the form of time, supplies and monetary contributions. Eleventh Hour Rescue is a 100% volunteer organization funded exclusively by donations.

💔 Henna deserves a life filled with love. Can you help her find it? ❤️🐾

Henna’s story began in heartbreaking circumstances. She was found living in a crate on a porch in direct sunlight, with no shade, no water, and a crate covered in f***s. Thankfully, animal control stepped in, and because of her sweet nature, a rescue was able to give her the second chance she desperately needed.

Now, this approximately 1-year-old girl is ready to leave her past behind and start the life she deserves! 🥹❤️

At just 36 pounds, Henna is a happy, energetic, tail-wagging girl who LOVES to play! She gets along with other dogs, enjoys making friends, and would thrive with an active family and a fenced yard where she can run, play, and simply be a dog. She’s also good with kids!

Who says the best things in life aren't a little older? Our senior cats have perfected the art of companionship, from cozy naps and endless purrs to the kind of love that makes a house feel like home. 🏡

These sweet souls deserve golden years filled with comfort, kindness, and a family of their own. Could you be the one they've been waiting for?

🐾 Clyde, 18 — This handsome orange-and-white gentleman loves sunshine and snuggles with his foster mom. He's laid-back, litterbox trained, and needs special food for his sensitive belly.

🐾 Fleetwood, 11 — This handsome black cat is looking for someone to give him a chance at a loving forever home. Could you be his person?

🐾 Fluffy, 16 — An affectionate gentleman who loves TV-time cuddles, cozy naps, catnip, and even cheese! He's friendly with both cats and dogs.

🐾 PUPDATE: From Ralph Athens to Rocky! 🐾

Some dogs find a home, and some find their way into your heart exactly when you need them most. ❤️

Meet Rocky, formerly known as Ralph Athens, who is living his absolute best life with the Kruse-Bhatia family!

Rocky was named after Rocky Peak Ridge in the Adirondacks, a place that holds a special meaning for his family. After unexpectedly losing their beloved dog, Kala, to an aggressive cancer at just four years old, they named Rocky in her honor and memory. They believe Kala sent Rocky to them, and we think this story is proof that sometimes love finds its way back to us when we least expect it. 🐾

When Rocky first came home, the world was full of new experiences. Stairs were confusing, flushing toilets were frightening, and sirens were a little scary. But with patience, bravery, and plenty of treats, Rocky tackled each new challenge one step at a time. He even figured out how to sneak his way into the family bed! 😂

Today, Rocky is an adventurous hiking buddy, road trip companion, beach enthusiast, and neighborhood social butterfly. He's explored the Adirondacks, Acadia, and the White Mountains, learned to swim, and made plenty of friends along the way. He's also a favorite among the neighborhood kids, thanks to his gentle, loving nature.

His family calls him “Mushy” because of his favorite way to cuddle: pressing himself right into the people he loves. ❤️

Rocky’s family says he has been the perfect addition to their home, and we couldn't be happier knowing this sweet boy is so loved.

Thank you to the Kruse-Bhatia family for opening your hearts to Rocky and giving him a life filled with adventure, comfort, and unconditional love. And thank you for sharing his beautiful story with us!
