During the practical session in Monteriggioni, we had the opportunity to use the directly on the horse and see the ECG trace in real time on the tablet.
This is exactly the kind of practical use we had in mind when developing the system: a compact, single-lead ECG that can be used directly where the horse is, without the need to move the animal to a dedicated setting.
For an equine veterinarian, having an ECG available during a sports examination, a purchase examination or a routine clinical evaluation can provide useful information about cardiac rhythm and help decide when further investigation or specialist assessment is needed.
The Q1 is designed to make ECG recording simple, quick and practical, while the digital trace can be stored, shared and reviewed afterwards.
Bringing ECG closer to everyday equine practice.
