Thank you for helping the angels of Saba Animal Shelter be seen by liking and commenting on our posts. 🙏⚘️

Please watch the entire video.

Dogs that have been spayed/neutered and wear identification tags are collected from the streets by municipal contractors and abandoned in the middle of roads or in satellite towns around Karaj!!!

Many of them are run over and killed by cars.
Others die from dehydration and lack of food.
And those abandoned in residential areas are beaten, poisoned, or, like these poor souls, attacked by guard dogs when they enter livestock farms. They are torn apart or severely injured and are ultimately left with no chance of survival.

We managed to rescue these two dogs.
Two more will be rescued very soon.

But not all of them are lucky enough to get a second chance at life!!!

Dear friends,

We are facing many serious financial difficulties at the shelter.

Some may understandably ask why these dogs were brought into the shelter when our financial shortages are already so severe.

But when these helpless and defenseless angels are right in front of our eyes—and one of them had already been torn apart—what else could we do?

Could we simply stand by and watch? 😔

Starting today, we are launching a fundraiser to pay off the dogs’ food debt.

We kindly ask you to contribute whatever amount you can afford, no matter how small, to help us with this important cause.

✅️ For PayPal account details, please contact us.

✅️ After making a donation for this purpose, please send us your payment receipt and mention “Food Debt” so that we can properly record your contribution.

You be the judge!

Please watch the video until the end.

She was wandering in the desert areas surrounding the shelter, near livestock farms, when she was spotted by the Saba Animal Shelter team.

She was wearing a collar.

We were able to easily get her into our car and bring her to the shelter.

When she arrived, we noticed that there was an illegible phone number written underneath her collar.

We called and said, “We have found your dog.”

But the response we received was completely unexpected.

The voice on the other end said:

“Don’t be fooled by her size and appearance. She’s a useless dog! We tried several times to breed her, but every time she became pregnant, she miscarried before the pregnancy could be carried to term. She’s a useless dog!” 😡

We then asked for the dog’s name.

The answer was shocking once again.

They had named this poor, innocent dog “Zalem” — meaning “Cruel/Oppressor.”

Now you tell us: Who is the cruel one? 😐

From today on, this angel is with us. She will live safely by our side, and we will also choose a beautiful new name for her.

Please support Saba Animal Shelter in any way you can.

Thank you for standing by us with so much love and kindness. 🙏
Your comments and shares help us reach more animal lovers and make Saba Animal Shelter more visible to those who may be able to support us.

While cleaning and preparations for the arrival of autumn have begun at the shelter, we are still struggling with ongoing financial difficulties and shortages. It has now been eight days since we have been unable to pay the dogs’ food debt, and for days, the dogs have been spending their days and nights waiting, with only a small amount of bread to get them through. 😔

Dear kind friends, please contribute to our fundraising campaign to the best of your ability.

Friends, please help us get the shelter seen and heard.
Please do whatever you can to help spread the word.
That would be the greatest favor you could do for us. ❤️

We are under an overwhelming amount of pressure right now, and it is incredibly difficult to put into words what we are going through. And unfortunately, we know that the situation is likely to become even more difficult in the days ahead.

We feel deeply ashamed to ask for help from people inside Iran—kind-hearted people who are already struggling immensely just to make ends meet. We are truly sorry that we have to turn to you and ask for your support. 😔

To our dear friends living abroad, you currently have a little more freedom to offer even a small gift.
