A 66-year-old woman from Yate, near Bristol, has rebuilt her life after losing her hearing—thanks to a specially trained dog.

Linda Smith, who became profoundly deaf and struggled with balance issues, said her confidence had completely “crumbled” as everyday life became isolating and stressful.

But everything changed when the charity Hearing Dogs for Deaf People paired her with a yellow Labrador named Toffee. 🐕

Toffee is trained to alert her to important sounds like alarms, giving Linda the confidence to finally sleep peacefully—without hearing aids and without fear.

A brave 9-month-old puppy named Asproulis from Haliki Village followed a group of skiers on an unexpected adventure to Tsoukarela Peak near Metsovo in Greece. But at nearly 1,900 meters high, the snowy mountain trapped the little dog with freezing winds and no food.

For nine days, Asproulis survived alone in the snow. His white fur blended with the icy landscape, making him almost invisible.

On March 5, a group of Greek climbers heard faint cries echoing across the mountain. Following the desperate barks, they finally found the weak and starving puppy. The rescuers fed him and carefully carried him down the dangerous cliffs during a 3.5-hour trek.

When Asproulis finally reached safety, he went to each rescuer as if saying “thank you.” Soon after, the brave little survivor was reunited with his happy owner back home. ❤️🐾

A shocking video from Shimla showed a stray dog carrying an amputated human leg near the premises of the Atal Institute of Medical Super Specialities in Chamiyana.

An investigation revealed that the leg belonged to 61-year-old Attar Singh and had been amputated during surgery last week. The limb was stored in a hospital storeroom for disposal, but staff allegedly forgot to lock the door on February 22. A stray dog reportedly entered the room and took the amputated leg.

The video went viral on social media, prompting a probe. Hospital authorities have since issued show-cause notices to the sanitation supervisor and workers over the negligence.
