Situated amidst beautiful and pollution free natural surroundings, at Nima Nimri, Mandore road, on the outskirts of Jodhpur, is this place known as Anubandh - an institution given to noble cause of support and service of the old people deserted by their families, who are physically unfit, having no independent means of subsistence and have no one to fall back upon for support. Established on 25th

Nov 2002 Anubandh has completed 18 years of invaluable human service. Anubandh strives to extend its hand of help to these people by not letting them fall victims of want, insecurity and indignity. This is achieved by providing much more than the basic amenities food, clothing and shelter which also includes daily medical care, entertainment and most importantly a respect for their privacy. And all this is provided FREE OF CHARGE. The admission here does not involve any discrimination on the basis of caste, community, religion or sex. At present 75 inmates in all ( 42 females and 33 males ) between age group of 60 to 96 years are residing here and getting benefits of care and services of Anubandh staff with a warm personal touch. Anubandh is a creation of the Advani couple Narendra Advani – Anuradha Advani who run and look after the institution with Mrs. Vimla Mehta’s active involvement in day to day administration. Anuradha has also recently been nominated as member of Varishth Nagrik Board by Govt. of Rajasthan for her exceptional services. Covering an area of 15000 sq. feet with a beautiful double story building with lift facility, having 12 halls with 6 couple rooms with attached toilets (both indian and western), 2 kitchens, a Medical Room with a well equipped clinic, an ICU, 3 solar powered water heater systems to provide hot water in all bathrooms, an Ambulance in case of emergency, a team of 10 full time dedicated care takers and 8 part time care takers, daily Doctor visit and a 24 X 7 doctor on call, a personal Ambulance, a loading three wheeler and all amenities like TV ,coolers and wardrobes in all the rooms, inverters, fridges, DVD players , water coolers in both the floors, geysers etc. A large verandah, beautiful lawn and a large bird aviary for recreation serve to enhance the beauty and dignity of the place. All festivals are celebrated here with great zest and zeal and a major get together is organised regularly almost every month. It is a self financed venture with no Goverment or NGOs aid till date. For last 18 years it is run by Advani family, extended family, few friends and well-wishers. Your small contribution makes a BIG difference to us. माँ को वृद्धाश्रम छोड़कर बेटा खुश था… 11 महीने बाद माँ ने जो किया, बेटे की आँखों में आँसू आ गए

“माँ, यहाँ आपकी देखभाल मुझसे भी अच्छी होगी।”

अमित ने कार का दरवाजा बंद करते हुए कहा।

सामने शहर का एक साफ-सुथरा वृद्धाश्रम था।

माँ ने इमारत को देखा… फिर अपने बेटे को।

“तू भी कभी-कभी मिलने आएगा न?”

अमित ने नजरें चुराकर कहा—

“हाँ माँ… बिल्कुल।”

माँ मुस्कुरा दीं।

“ठीक है बेटा।”

अमित ने उनका सामान अंदर रखवाया और जल्दी से वापस मुड़ गया।

दरवाजे तक पहुँचकर माँ ने पुकारा—

“अमित…”

वह पलटा।

माँ ने बस इतना कहा—

“बेटा, मैं तुझसे नाराज़ नहीं हूँ… बस एक बात याद रखना, किसी को छोड़ना आसान होता है… लेकिन छोड़े हुए इंसान की जगह जिंदगी में खाली ही रहती है।”

अमित ने बात को भावुकता समझा।

“माँ, अपना ख्याल रखना।”

और चला गया।

माँ दरवाजे पर खड़ी उसे तब तक देखती रहीं, जब तक उसकी कार सड़क के मोड़ के पीछे गायब नहीं हो गई।

फिर उन्होंने अपनी आँखें पोंछीं और अंदर चली गईं।

अमित की जिंदगी बहुत बदल गई।

नौकरी में प्रमोशन मिला।

नया फ्लैट लिया।

पत्नी रिया के साथ घूमने जाने लगा।

लोग पूछते—

“माँ कहाँ हैं?”

वह सहजता से कहता—

“वृद्धाश्रम में हैं। वहाँ उनकी बहुत अच्छी देखभाल होती है।”

उसे लगता था उसने अपनी जिम्मेदारी पूरी कर दी।

लेकिन हर महीने की पहली तारीख को वृद्धाश्रम से एक फोन आता।

“अमित जी, आपकी माँ के लिए दवाइयाँ…”

अमित पैसे भेज देता।

कभी-कभी माँ खुद फोन करतीं।

“बेटा, व्यस्त हो?”

“हाँ माँ, ऑफिस में हूँ।”

“अच्छा… खाना खा लिया?”

“हाँ।”

“रिया कैसी है?”

“ठीक है।”

कुछ सेकंड खामोशी रहती।

फिर माँ कहतीं—

“ठीक है बेटा, काम कर।”

अमित फोन रख देता।

उसे कभी महसूस ही नहीं हुआ कि माँ हर फोन में कुछ और कहना चाहती थीं।

---

एक दिन वृद्धाश्रम की संचालिका ने अमित को फोन किया।

“आपकी माँ आपसे मिलना चाहती हैं।”

अमित ने कहा—

“अभी थोड़ा मुश्किल है। इस रविवार शायद आ जाऊँ।”

संचालिका कुछ पल चुप रहीं।

फिर बोलीं—

“रविवार तक शायद देर हो जाए।”

अमित घबरा गया।

“क्या हुआ माँ को?”

“उनकी तबीयत बहुत खराब है।”

अमित उसी शाम पहुँच गया।

कमरे में माँ बिस्तर पर लेटी थीं।

चेहरा कमजोर हो चुका था।

अमित उनके पास बैठ गया।

“माँ…”

माँ ने आँखें खोलीं।

उसे देखकर मुस्कुराईं।

“आ गया बेटा?”

“हाँ माँ।”

“बहुत दिनों बाद आया।”

अमित की आँखें झुक गईं।

“माँ, काम बहुत था।”

माँ ने उसका हाथ पकड़ लिया।

“कोई बात नहीं।”

कुछ देर बाद उन्होंने कहा—

“मेरी अलमारी में एक लाल कपड़े की पोटली है। वो तुम्हारे लिए है।”

अमित ने पोटली खोली।

उसमें कुछ पुराने कागज थे।

एक छोटी-सी चाबी।

और बैंक की एक पासबुक।

अमित हैरान था।

“माँ, इसमें क्या है?”

माँ ने कहा—

“घर।”

“कौन सा घर?”

माँ ने धीरे से कहा—

“तुम्हारा बचपन वाला घर।”

अमित के चेहरे पर हैरानी फैल गई।

“लेकिन वो घर तो मैंने बेच दिया था!”

माँ मुस्कुराईं।

“नहीं बेटा।”

“तुमने जिस घर को बेचा था, वह सिर्फ सामने का हिस्सा था।”

“पीछे का छोटा-सा आँगन और कमरा मैंने अपने नाम बचाकर रखा था।”

अमित कुछ समझ नहीं पाया।

माँ बोलीं—

“वहाँ तुम्हारे पिता की पुरानी दुकान भी है।”

“मैंने उसे किराए पर दे रखा था।”

“उससे जो पैसे आते थे, मैं बचाती रही।”

“क्यों?”

माँ ने उसकी तरफ देखा।

“तुम्हारे लिए।”

अमित की आँखें भर आईं।

“मेरे लिए?”

“हाँ।”

“क्यों?”

माँ ने मुस्कुराकर कहा—

“क्योंकि माँ बेटे को छोड़ती नहीं है बेटा…”

“चाहे बेटा माँ को कहीं भी छोड़ आए।”

अमित रो पड़ा।

---

लेकिन असली झटका अभी बाकी था।

माँ ने पासबुक उसकी तरफ बढ़ाई।

“इसमें पिछले ग्यारह सालों की बचत है।”

अमित ने पासबुक खोली।

खाते में 18 लाख रुपये थे।

वह अवाक रह गया।

“माँ… आपने इतने पैसे मेरे लिए बचाए?”

माँ ने सिर हिलाया।

“नहीं।”

अमित ने चौंककर देखा।

“तो?”

माँ ने कहा—

“मैंने ये पैसे उन लोगों के लिए बचाए हैं, जिन्हें अपने बच्चों ने अकेला छोड़ दिया।”

अमित की आँखों से आँसू गिरने लगे।

माँ ने आगे कहा—

“जब तुम मुझे यहाँ छोड़कर गए थे न…”

“उस रात मैं बहुत रोई थी।”

“लेकिन अगले दिन मैंने देखा कि यहाँ मुझसे भी ज्यादा अकेले लोग हैं।”

“कोई बेटा छोड़ गया था।”

“किसी की बेटी विदेश चली गई थी।”

“किसी के बच्चे पैसे भेजते थे, लेकिन मिलने नहीं आते थे।”

“तब मैंने फैसला किया कि मैं अपने बुढ़ापे को रोते हुए नहीं बिताऊँगी।”

“मैंने अपनी पेंशन और किराए के पैसे बचाने शुरू किए।”

“और अब…”

उन्होंने पासबुक उसकी तरफ बढ़ाई।

“इस पैसे से इस वृद्धाश्रम में एक छोटा-सा कमरा बनवाना है।”

“ऐसा कमरा जहाँ कोई बुजुर्ग अकेलेपन में रात को रोए तो उसके पास कोई बैठने वाला हो।”

अमित माँ को देखता रह गया।

जिस माँ को वह समझता था कि वह खुद असहाय है…

वह इतने लोगों का सहारा बनने की तैयारी कर रही थी।

---

माँ ने उसका हाथ पकड़कर कहा—

“एक बात और है।”

“क्या?”

“मुझे घर मत ले जाना।”

अमित चौंक गया।

“माँ!”

“नहीं बेटा।”

“अब मैं यहीं रहूँगी।”

“लेकिन क्यों?”

माँ मुस्कुराईं।

“क्योंकि यहाँ मुझे मेरी जरूरत महसूस होती है।”

“और तुम्हारे घर में?”

अमित के पास कोई जवाब नहीं था।

माँ ने उसके सिर पर हाथ रखा।

“तुम मुझे लेने आए हो, यह देखकर खुशी हुई।”

“लेकिन मुझे अपने साथ ले जाकर फिर मेरी जिंदगी अपने हिसाब से मत चलाना।”

“अगर कभी सच में माँ को घर लाना…”

“तो मुझे मेहमान बनाकर नहीं…”

“मेरी मर्जी से लाना।”

अमित फूट-फूटकर रोने लगा।

“माँ, मैंने आपको बहुत अकेला कर दिया।”

माँ ने उसे गले लगा लिया।

“बेटा, तुमने मुझे अकेला नहीं किया।”

“तुमने बस मुझे यह सिखा दिया कि माँ का प्यार बच्चों के साथ खत्म नहीं होता।”

“वह दूसरों के काम भी आ सकता है।”

अगले महीने वृद्धाश्रम के पीछे एक नया कमरा बनना शुरू हुआ।

दरवाजे पर एक छोटी-सी पट्टी लगाई गई—

“माँ का आँगन”

यह नाम अमित ने रखा था।

उस कमरे में हर शाम बुजुर्ग बैठते।

कोई अपनी पुरानी कहानी सुनाता।

कोई अपने बच्चों की तस्वीर दिखाता।

कोई चुपचाप खिड़की से बाहर देखता।

और जमुना देवी सबके बीच बैठकर कहतीं—

“बच्चों को दोष मत देना।”

“उन्हें बस इतना सिखाना कि बुजुर्गों को पालना और बुजुर्गों के साथ जीना—दो अलग बातें हैं।”

एक दिन अमित अपनी माँ के पास आया।

उसने पूछा—

“माँ, मैं अब हर रविवार आपके पास आऊँ?”

माँ ने मुस्कुराकर कहा—

“हर रविवार नहीं।”

अमित हैरान हुआ।

“क्यों?”

माँ बोलीं—

“जब मन करे तब आना।”

“लेकिन एक शर्त है।”

“क्या?”

“जब भी आओगे…”

“मेरे साथ बैठकर खाना खाओगे।”

अमित मुस्कुराया।

“पक्का।”

माँ ने कहा—

“बस यही तो चाहिए था बेटा।”

कई महीने बाद अमित ने अपने घर की दीवार पर एक तस्वीर लगाई।

उसमें वह बच्चा था…

और उसकी माँ उसे गोद में उठाए हुए थीं।

तस्वीर के नीचे उसने सिर्फ एक लाइन लिखी—

“मैंने माँ को वृद्धाश्रम नहीं भेजा था… मैंने अपनी जिंदगी का सबसे बड़ा हिस्सा बाहर छोड़ दिया था।”

और शायद यही सच है।

हम अक्सर कहते हैं—

“हम अपने माता-पिता की बहुत देखभाल करते हैं।”

लेकिन कभी खुद से पूछिए—

क्या हम उनकी जरूरतें पूरी कर रहे हैं…

या उनकी इच्छाएँ भी सुन रहे हैं?

क्योंकि बुजुर्गों को सिर्फ दवा, पैसा और खाना नहीं चाहिए।

कभी-कभी उन्हें बस कोई ऐसा चाहिए होता है जो उनके पास बैठकर कहे—

“माँ, आज आपकी बात सुनने के लिए मेरे पास पूरा समय है।”

और याद रखिए—

जिस दिन माँ आपसे कुछ माँगना बंद कर दे…
जरूरी नहीं कि उसकी जरूरतें खत्म हो गई हों।
हो सकता है उसने उम्मीद करना छोड़ दिया हो।

एक बेहतरीन कलाकार से मुलाकात… और उससे भी बेहतर इंसान से परिचय। 🙏

सुप्रसिद्ध अभिनेता, कवि, लेखक, गीतकार और रंगकर्मी पीयूष मिश्रा जी से अनुराधा अडवानी जी एवं नरेन्द्र अडवानी जी की आत्मीय मुलाकात और उनका अभिनंदन करने का अवसर मिला।

पीयूष मिश्रा जी की पहचान सिर्फ उनके अभिनय तक सीमित नहीं है। उनके गीतों और कविताओं में जिस बेबाकी, संवेदना और व्यवस्था से सवाल करने का साहस दिखाई देता है, वह उन्हें अपने आप में एक अलग मुकाम देता है। गैंग्स ऑफ़ वासेपुर, गुलाल, रॉकस्टार जैसी फिल्मों से लेकर ‘आरंभ है प्रचंड’ जैसे गीत तक, उनकी रचनात्मकता ने खासकर युवाओं के दिलों में अपनी गहरी जगह बनाई है।

उनसे बातचीत के दौरान एक बात बहुत करीब से महसूस हुई- उनके गीतों में जो क्रांतिकारी अभिव्यक्ति सुनाई देती है, वे स्वयं भी उतने ही स्पष्ट, बेबाक और अपनी बात कहने वाले इंसान हैं। साथ ही उनके व्यक्तित्व में एक सहजता और सादगी है, जो पहली मुलाकात में ही अपनापन महसूस कराती है।

युवाओं से उनका जुड़ाव भी उनकी कला की तरह ही खास है। हाल ही में झारखंड में छात्र-युवाओं के बीच पहुँचकर उन्होंने उनके मुद्दों और आवाज़ के प्रति अपना समर्थन व्यक्त किया। यह देखना सुखद है कि एक कलाकार अपनी कला के साथ-साथ समाज और युवा पीढ़ी से भी इतना जीवंत जुड़ाव बनाए रखता है।

पीयूष जी से मिलना वाकई बहुत अच्छा लगा। कला, साहित्य, समाज और जीवन को लेकर हुई बातचीत ने इस मुलाकात को और भी विशेष बना दिया।

🎶 🎵 A Night of Evergreen Melodies 8.8.2026, Beautiful Memories and 25 Years of ANUBANDH 🎶 🎵

Some evenings are more than just events. They become memories.. woven together with music, emotions, laughter and a sense of togetherness. ANUBANDH - A Home for the Aged, experienced one such beautiful evening as it stepped into the 25th year of its journey of service and care.

To mark this special milestone, ANUBANDH hosted a soulful musical evening, “Magic of Old Bollywood Songs,” at the FDDI Auditorium on Mandore Road, Jodhpur. The evening was a heartfelt celebration of music, nostalgia and, above all, the journey of service that ANUBANDH has undertaken over the years.

The highlight of the evening was Meenal Jain, the well-known Mumbai-based playback singer, whose melodious voice brought alive the magic of some of Hindi cinema’s most cherished songs. Her soulful renditions of songs including - Salona Sa Sajjan Hai, Baiyya Na Dharo Balma, Agar Mujhse Mohabbat Hai, and Zara Si Aahat Hoti, Dil Sochta Hai Kahin Yeh Woh Toh Nahin, transported the audience into an era of timeless melodies. The warmth of her singing, coupled with the audience’s enthusiastic applause, created an atmosphere that was both nostalgic and deeply joyful.

Adding further energy to the evening was 'Naad Rush Band', whose vibrant musical performance brought a different rhythm and youthful energy to the celebration. Together, the performances made the evening a wonderful coming together of melody, memories and music lovers.

The programme was graced by several distinguished guests and well-wishers, including former Mayor Kunti Devda Parihar, Dr. Nirmal Gehlot, Tarun Gehlot, Manish Mehta, Dr. Tarun Kant, Dr. D. Kumar, Anil Kumar, Dr. Sangeeta Singh, Dr. Om Lata Bhagat, Dr. Vishwanath Sharma, Dr. Aditi Taylor and several other eminent personalities. The evening was smoothly conducted by Rakesh Chauhan and Priyanka, whose engaging anchoring kept the audience connected throughout the programme.

🌸But beyond the music and celebration, the evening carried a deeper meaning.
🌸The 25th year of ANUBANDH is not simply a milestone in time; it is a milestone in service.
🌸For 24 years, ANUBANDH has remained committed to providing abandoned, destitute and needy senior citizens with something far more precious than just shelter - a home, nourishment, medical care, companionship, dignity and the reassurance that they are not alone. The journey has been about creating a space where ageing is met not with neglect, but with care, respect and belonging.

That is what made this musical evening especially meaningful. It was a celebration not only of old songs, but of old lives, cherished memories and the timeless human values that ANUBANDH stands for. As familiar melodies filled the auditorium, the evening seemed to bring generations together, reminding everyone that music has a beautiful way of making memories come alive and hearts feel connected.

The event was made possible with the valuable support of Rajan Audio-Visual, Naad Rush and FDDI Jodhpur, whose contribution helped make the evening a memorable one. The guests and audience also expressed their appreciation for ANUBANDH’s continued dedication and extended their warm wishes for its onward journey.

As ANUBANDH enters its 25th year, the celebration is ultimately a celebration of people - of those who have been cared for, those who have served, those who have supported, and everyone who has believed that every elderly person deserves a life of dignity, affection and belonging.
And perhaps that is the real magic behind ANUBANDH - turning years of service into a lifetime of memories, one life and one act of care at a time.
