A good pet day care isn’t just about keeping your pet busy. It’s about giving them a place where they can feel safe, comfortable and cared for. 🐾❤️

So when a pet parent says they’d highly recommend Cessna Pet Retreat to anyone looking for reliable daycare, we’re incredibly grateful for that trust. 🥹

The right daycare can give pets opportunities for exercise, mental stimulation, companionship and a structured routine while giving pet parents some much-needed peace of mind.

Because when you’re busy with work, errands or life, knowing your pet is spending the day somewhere they’re genuinely comfortable makes all the difference.

Happy pet. Peaceful parent. Win-win!

Think your pet might be dehydrated? Don’t wait until they look seriously unwell.

There’s a simple check you can try at home but it’s a clue, NOT a diagnosis. 👇

- Gently lift a small fold of skin over the shoulder area and release it.

- Normally the skin should return to its usual position quickly.

- If it stays tented or returns slowly: dehydration may be present.

But here’s the important part: skin elasticity can be affected by age, body condition and certain illnesses, so the skin-tent test alone cannot reliably tell you how dehydrated your pet is.

- Other signs to watch for:

• Dry or tacky gums
• Sunken-looking eyes
• Reduced energy or weakness
• Reduced appetite
• Vomiting or diarrhoea
• Drinking much more or much less than usual

Dehydration can occur with vomiting, diarrhoea, heat exposure, reduced water intake and several underlying illnesses and severe dehydration can become an emergency.

📌 SAVE this post so you know what to look for.

SHARE it with a pet parent especially if their pet has recently had vomiting, diarrhoea or isn't drinking normally.

And if your pet seems weak, very unwell, is repeatedly vomiting/has diarrhoea, or you’re concerned about dehydration, don’t rely on a home test. Contact your veterinarian. ❤️🐾

Maine C**n parents, save this one. 🐱📌

That gorgeous, flowing coat doesn’t stay fabulous by itself. 😼✨ Maine C**ns need a little extra grooming love to keep their coat healthy, comfortable and mat-free.

Here’s your quick grooming checklist:

🪮 Brush 2–3× a week to manage loose hair and prevent mats
✨ Use a wide-tooth comb + slicker brush for that long coat
👀 Check eyes & ears weekly and clean gently when needed
🐾 Clean paws as needed, especially when they’ve been exploring
🛁 Baths every 6–8 weeks or as needed AND always use a cat-safe, mild shampoo
✂️ Sanitary trims > unnecessary haircuts for keeping the paws, belly and sanitary areas tidy can help with comfort and mat prevention
🚫 A**l sac cleaning? Usually not needed. If you notice scooting, licking or discomfort, speak to your vet instead of DIY-ing it.

Because grooming isn’t just about looking fluffy and fabulous. It’s part of keeping your Maine C**n comfortable and healthy. ❤️

📌 SAVE this guide for your grooming routine and SHARE it with a Maine C**n parent who needs it!
