Spinach (Spinacia oleracea) is a quick-growing addition to a Hydroponic growing garden. Though this green, leafy crop grows successfully in a variety of conditions, it sometimes does not resist disease.

✨Some Preventive Measures for Disease Control of Spinach:

-Examine spinach plants regularly for any changes or abnormalities. Identify diseases before treating for optimal results.

-Search spinach leaves for symptoms of downy mildew disease. Look for yellow spots on leaves that grow and fade to a light brown hue.

-Examine plants for white rust disease, a common problem on spinach. Search first for the presence of tiny yellow specks on leaf surfaces.

-Spray young infected plants with a fungicide immediately upon symptom development. Spray a fungicide with an active ingredient such as Pyraclostrobin during cool, humid weather once every one to two weeks.

🍀Hydroponic Greenhouse System🍀

🎋These systems can produce great amounts of food in a relatively small physical space, with little water and no soil needed. It protects the plants from outside contaminants, making them an excellent option for R&D and other research needs. And since they contain their own climates, they make commercial-scale farming possible in regions where it would otherwise be too hot, too dry, or too cold.

🎋Within the greenhouse environment, the climate can be closely monitored and controlled. This means growing seasons can be repeated as often as desired, leading to an average harvest cycle of 28 days. This leads to far greater yields than traditional farming methods.

🎋Inside the greenhouse, irrigation and water treatment are handled with advanced methods, allowing for minimal water use. Heating and air conditioning are provided for, along with a venting system that ensures air quality remains ideal. The greenhouse system provides all of the pieces needed for production with an advanced propagation system. And an advanced pest management system keeps your produce healthy and pest-free.

🌳Resources used by Hydroponics🌳
Hydroponic crops take up much less space than traditional soil crops. Commercial hydroponics consumes only 1/5 of the space needed to grow the same amount of plants on agricultural land. A potential advantage is also the reduction of fossil fuel consumption for plant transport – after all, hydroponic halls can be located wherever they are most needed, e.g. near urban centers. In this way, we significantly reduce emissions and costs (both environmental and economic) associated with transport over long distances.

Hydroponics can also save a lot of water💧. For example, NFT can consume 70, and even 90% less water than traditional agriculture. In soil cultivation, most of the water we supply to plants penetrates deep into the ground and ceases to be available to them.
Saving in terms of space and water resources is so attractive in hydroponics.

🌱Transplant A Seedling Into 2inch Netpot for NFT🌱

For newbie Nutrient Film Technique (NFT) growers, one of the most common problem is getting the seedling roots in contact with the nutrient solution after transplanting the seedling into a 2″ inch net pot. This may take a few days and requires continuous topside watering until the roots have emerged and are in contact with the flowing nutrient solution inside the NFT channel.

Especially during hot days, missing just one day of topside watering may kill a plant. That’s why it’s important to take extra care during the sensitive period after transplanting seedlings into net pots. However, in large systems the amount of attention and care to water seedlings becomes arduous.

To understand in a much better way you can follow these steps:

Step 1: Prepare the seedling
Step 2: Loosen the roots
Step 3: Plug Seedling into Net pot
Step 4: Cover with Hydroton
Step 5: Place the net pot into your NFT channel

How to Harvest Peas:🌿

✨Most varieties of peas are ready to harvest 60 to 70 days after planting.
✨ Pick snow peas when the delicate pods begin to show immature seeds inside. Gather snap peas when the pods become plump yet are still glossy and filled with sweet-tasting peas. Pick shell peas before the pods become waxy.
✨Peas mature quickly, so check daily once you see the flowers in bloom.
✨Pick peas in the morning after the dew has dried. They are crispiest then. And pick regularly to encourage more pods to develop.
✨Use two hands when you pick peas to avoid damaging plant. Hold the vine with one hand and pull pods off with the other.
✨ Peas are at the peak of flavor immediately after harvest.
✨ Pea pods that have hardened or turned a dull color are over mature. Mature plants usually stop producing and die back in hot summer weather.

Hydroponically grown foods not only taste better and are more nutritional, but you can also change the properties of your food, monitor what goes into your food, and pollute less.

How to make a hydroponic system at home?

STEP 1:
Making a Simple Wick System:

- Cut the top 4 in (10 cm) off of a plastic bottle.
- Poke a hole through the bottle cap using a screwdriver
- Feed a piece of twine through the hole in the cap
- Fill the bottom of the bottle with a nutrient solution
- Place the top of the bottle upside-down so the twine is mostly submerged
- Put growing medium and your seeds into the top of the bottle

STEP 2:
Building a Deep Water Culture System:

- Cut a hole in the lid of a plastic coffee container the same size as a net pot
- Cut a small X near the edge of the lid for an air tube
- Feed 6 inches (15 cm) of air tubing through the cutting hole like X
- Fill the coffee container three-quarters full with a nutrient solution
- Put growing medium and seeds into the net pot
- Attach the other end of the air tube to a bubbler and turn it on

STEP 3:
Using the Nutrient Film Technique:

- Connect a pump to an air stone on the bottom of the water reservoir
- Set a submersible water pump on the other side of the reservoir
- Fill half the reservoir with a nutrient solution
- Slope a rain gutter or PVC pipe between 2 sawhorses to make a channel
- Cut holes in the top of your channel to fit your pots
- Make a drain hole in the lower end of your channel and the lid of your reservoir.
- Feed the water pump tube into the higher end of your channel
- Fill your pots with growing medium and seeds
- Plugin the water pump so it constantly runs

🌈 Bolivian Rainbow Chilli seedlings

🌶 A dual-natured chilli that is both beastly hot and stunningly beautiful. Its purple- tinged leaves complement the purple flowers dotted all over the plants. The flowers develop into small, purple fruit which gradually change to yellow, then orange and finally red.

🌶 The short, bushy plants bring colour to sunny windowsills and conservatories. Grow them unsupported in pots 1 to 3 litres in size, remembering that the bigger the pot, the bigger the plant and the bigger the yields.

To store seeds properly we need to keep them dry, cool and avoid temperature fluctuations.

The aim of seed storage is to avoid germination cues and to slow the metabolism of seeds as much as possible so they live for longer.

🔎Here are 4 things to do while storing seeds

✨1. Seeds should be stored somewhere cool, dark and dry.

A wardrobe, pantry or cellar are also good options.

✨2. Place seed packets in a moisture-proof sealed container.

It is important to prevent moisture from getting in and rehydrating seeds. The simplest option is to place your seed packets in a zip lock bag. Other options include glass jars or plastic containers.

✨3. Ensure your seeds are sufficiently dry.

If you are storing seeds you have saved yourself, you will need to ensure they are sufficiently dry. Commercially purchased seeds have been carefully dried to less than 10 per cent moisture content. Seeds that are not dry enough may not only perish, but may also introduce moisture to the rest of your seeds. If in doubt, store saved seeds in a separate container with a moisture-absorbing substance (such as rice, powdered milk or silica gel crystals) until you are certain they are dry.

✨4. Organise seeds so that you can find what you need and avoid duplication.

You can organise seeds into two groups - "in season" and "out of season" - and place seeds in alphabetical order (for example beans, beetroots, carrots and so on) within each group.

👇🏽Tell us in the comments about how you store your seeds :)

Amaranth seeds can be planted multiple seeds in a single cube at a time and they usually germinate within a week. As soon as they do, give them lots of light to prevent weak, leggy growth.

Once your seedlings are about three inches tall and have roots protruding from the growing media, they’re ready to transplant. Keep in mind that amaranth will be most productive in full sun (i.e., at least six hours of direct sunlight). It is a very low maintenance crop whether you want to grow indoors or outdoors. Once established, it requires very little attention and naturally resists most pests and diseases.

If you’re planning a greenhouse, then you know how much climate will impact the heating and cooling of your greenhouse. Growers can control temperature despite climate by having a properly sized HVAC system and by choosing the right structure and and covering.

How to choose the right greenhouse structure for you?
It depends on the following factors:

💡 the Crop and System you have chosen
💡 Budget
💡 Quote
💡 Timeline
💡 Start & stop precautions of a backup power unit.
💡 MEP check
Note: Complete the checks in 1,2,3 days at different time intervals.
