At the launch, Robert Hall caught up with Tattersalls Chairman Edmond Mahony ahead of the George Mernagh Tattersalls Horse Trials on Sunday 13th September.

Edmond's love for thoroughbreds shines through. Tattersalls bought Old Fairyhouse Stud in Ratoath back in 1987 — with a vision for it to host not just thoroughbred sales, but all equestrian events. That vision continues with this event in George's name.

EXCITING NEWS: a €3,000 Prize Fund for the 6yo George Mernagh Class has is being announced.

Robert Hall caught up with a host of guests at the Launch of the George Mernagh Tattersalls Horse Trials. One very special lady he spoke to was Jessica Harrington, President of Eventing Ireland who, before becoming one of Ireland's most legendary racehorse trainers, was a world-class three-day event rider. They reminisced on her days riding thoroughbred Amoy who finished 3rd at Badminton Horse Trials.

Tattersalls Ireland Launch the George Mernagh Tattersalls Horse Trials

Tattersalls Ireland hosted the official launch of the George Mernagh Tattersalls Horse Trials on Friday 24th July at Tattersalls Country House, marking the countdown to the event's new September date. The gathering welcomed senior figures from Irish eventing and Tattersalls to celebrate a fixture created in memory of the late George Mernagh, former Managing Director of Tattersalls Ireland, and to look ahead to its return on Sunday 13th September.
