NEW ARRIVAL — Meet Herbie!

Herbie is a stunning 14 year old African Grey who has recently come into our rescue.

His family loved him dearly but felt he deserved more time, attention, and a new opportunity to thrive. Herbie has been very well loved throughout his life, and we’re committed to finding the right home for him when the time comes.

Herbie will soon begin his assessment period with his foster family, where we’ll learn more about his personality, needs, and what type of home will be the best fit for him. He will also be seen by our avian veterinarian for a full health check.

Please note: We are not accepting rehoming applications for Herbie at this time. We’ll share updates as he progresses through his assessment.

Welcome to the rescue, Herbie!

LOOKING FOR A NEW HOME

Hey folks!

Meet Becky!

Becky is a stunning female cockatiel and a sweet little girl looking for her forever home.

Becky is already a rescue bird, but unfortunately, the family who adopted her is no longer able to care for her due to developing health issues. So, through no fault of her own, Becky is looking for a new home.

Becky loves being out of her cage and having a good fly around. She will happily fly over to you, spend time with you, and sit on your shoulder.

Once she gets to know and trust you, Becky is a very friendly girl. She isn't a big fan of hands being put inside or around her cage, but she will happily take treats from you and will gradually come closer.

Becky would make someone a wonderful little companion.

She will come with her own cage and toys.

Anyone who feels they can offer Becky a home please check the comments section to apply and include details about the kind of home you can provide.

That's all for now, folks!
Love Becky
Thank you!

NEW ARRIVAL

Meet Louie, a yellow male Indian Ringneck Parakeet who arrived at the rescue last night with bleeding wings.

Louie was purchased from an advertising site about nine months ago. At the time, he was severely plucked and almost completely bald, but thankfully he has since regained some feather growth.

Sadly, his busy home environment was causing him to panic, bash around his cage, and fall, resulting in further damage to his wings. His owner knew she could no longer manage his needs and asked us to take him in.

Louie received pain relief as soon as he arrived, and we took him to our vet first thing this morning. Three damaged feathers had to be removed from each wing, and he is now on antibiotics and pain medication.

Sadly, this is yet another case of badly clipped wings, something we see far too often.

Despite everything he has been through, Louie has already shown us what a sweet boy he is. Last night, he sat quietly and contentedly in my lap, looking around. After returning from the vet today, he even took a walnut from my hand.

Louie will now stay here with me and my flock while we begin his road to recovery.

Welcome to the rescue, Louie. You’re safe now.

We’ll keep you updated on his progress.

LOOKING FOR A NEW HOME

Hey folks! Meet Aurora, a beautiful Catalina Macaw who has now completed her assessment period and is ready to start looking for her forever home.

Aurora is a chatty little girl who loves to whistle, sing, and show off her vocabulary! She also enjoys her toys and, of course, a good piece of cardboard to shred.

Once she gets to know you, Aurora will happily take food and nuts from your hand. She is also comfortable around other birds.

Her foster family feels that Aurora would do best with someone who has experience with parrots, or with someone who is willing to be patient and give her the time and understanding she needs to continue her rehabilitation.

With the right person, Aurora could make a wonderful companion and a lovely addition to the family.

Anyone who feels they can offer Aurora a home please check the comments section to apply and include details about the kind of home you can provide.

Thats all for now folks
Love Aurora
