Glenard Dogs Join us at Glenard Dogs for Dog Sports Workshops, for the pet dog industry. GAK9 Sports Trailing Trainer, GAK9 Ireland Its fast, fun and furious!

Your dog is your best friend .... at Glenard Dogs, we like to think that every day with them is a gift, so make the most of it! Glenard Dogs is the first (and only so far!) GAK9 Sports Trailing Trainer in Ireland. I've certified with three mantrailing organizations - so I'm familiar with several methods - I firmly believe that the GAK9 self-discovery approach to trailing is the most natural method of learning for dogs, allowing each dog/handler team to progress successfully without pressure. At Glenard Dogs, the emphasis is on your dog's welfare, with learning based on positive reward methods only. Mantrailing is the ultimate team building experience for you and your dog! Using the power of your dog's nose (and scent), you will work as a team to locate a hidden (missing) person. At the beginning of the search, the dog will sniff the scent article that the hidden person has touched and the handler/dog team follow the trail on a long leash to find them. As the handler, you will learn to read your dog's body language and cues to successfully follow the trail to finding the hidden person.

Join our November progression workshops! 📅️ Suitable for all trailing teams, regardless of background or method.

Sometimes a fresh pair of eyes and different approach can help overcome problems if you've hit a roadblock in your trailing. GAK9 is all about setting up the trail to let the dog (and handler) learn through self discovery. Drop me a message if you want to learn more.

Just back from an amazing few days in Scotland, as an observer, with Jeff Schettler. Huge thanks to Fiona Leel (Rockstar Canines) for a superbly well organized workshop. I’ve come back with a bunch of new information, better understanding and learning to apply. Huge shout out to all the handlers who worked their dogs - as much as I love handling my own dogs, observing others working gave me opportunities to learn as an instructor. Lovely to meet up with lots of trailing friends and make new ones. Enjoyed expanding my network of other fantastic GAK9 instructors. Until next time … I plan to hasten back often 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿. Thank you Jeff Schettler and Flery Schettler
