Your dog is your best friend .... at Glenard Dogs, we like to think that every day with them is a gift, so make the most of it! Glenard Dogs is the first (and only so far!) GAK9 Sports Trailing Trainer in Ireland. I've certified with three mantrailing organizations - so I'm familiar with several methods - I firmly believe that the GAK9 self-discovery approach to trailing is the most natural method

of learning for dogs, allowing each dog/handler team to progress successfully without pressure. At Glenard Dogs, the emphasis is on your dog's welfare, with learning based on positive reward methods only. Mantrailing is the ultimate team building experience for you and your dog! Using the power of your dog's nose (and scent), you will work as a team to locate a hidden (missing) person. At the beginning of the search, the dog will sniff the scent article that the hidden person has touched and the handler/dog team follow the trail on a long leash to find them. As the handler, you will learn to read your dog's body language and cues to successfully follow the trail to finding the hidden person.

We are at the end of an absolutely magic 3-day workshop with Christoph Rosenberger …. Team specific trails (as always with GAK9) with video analysis post trail - it was full of observation, solutions and huge progress in a very short time.

Few challenges too - multi surface and tough terrain that tested handlers, brain blowing trailing challenges and an unfortunate wasp 🐝 (tough handler … trailed on after > 15 nasty stings 💪).

Beyond that it was a tonne of fun, laughs, support and learning with a fabulous bunch of people and their dogs.

Best news of all? Christoph will be back for back to back seminars in 2027!
