Glen of Imaal Terrier - Special Case 💞 🐾
Say Hello to Bernie, a 6 year old Glen of Imaal terrier. We rarely see native Irish breeds outside of the show ring nowadays unfortunately, so it was a treat to meet Bernie 😊 However, Bernie has a few suitcases worth of baggage when it comes to grooming - let's just say he's not a fan!! Every "difficult" dog is different, and I have no magic wand or secret technique so I will always tell every owner there's no guarantee! Today was my second time meeting Berny and I was delighted with his progress today because we have a clean, comfortable, matt-free dog, and I even managed some basic scissor work on his face so that we can see his gorgeous eyes!! It's one step at a time with Berny, one groom at a time. He's hot-headed and just about as challenging as they come, but there's a sweetheart underneath all that fire, you just need to give him a chance 🥰
