Is there a better way to spend a Saturday morning than to spend it with dogs? I don't think so! And 3 year old Wally proved me right 💟 This beautiful boy stole my heart the first time I groomed him in Manorhamilton earlier this year. He had another top-to-tail de-shed pampering session, and I think it's fair to say we're friends for life now because I just absolutely love this beautiful Border boy! Chilling out on the sofa with dogs after a grooming session is wonderful. But having a dog like Wally move himself on the sofa so that he can be beside you and give you kisses - pure magic! I know I bang on and on about dogs folks, but I really do just love them! I know it's chronic and it's out of control! I will start going to meetings soon though, I promise! 😜🥰

The Terriers have landed! 💖💗

Spot and Peggy stopped by for a fabulous pampering session, and these two little messers sure know how to work their terrier Magic on me! 🥰 Spot is well into his very senior years but Peggy is all about the fun and she helps to keep Spot young at heart always. The sweetest pair of fuzzers in the world, and watching their excitement in the garden after their groom was the icing on the cake for me! Love these two little ones with all my heart 💛💓

Patch had his first trip to Kiltyclogher for his pampering today. I was keen to see how he would get on in a home environment and I think it made a real difference. Patch didn't have the nicest start in life unfortunately, and he's a very fearful boy, especially in an enclosed environment. But once we help him to overcome the fear then he's Mr.Personality and just an absolute joy!! He's come a long way and it was fantastic to hear that his family are able to groom him at home now whereas he's always been too anxious in the past. Best thing about being a dog groomer? I get to spend a few hours of one-on-one time with Patch and all the other fabulous fuzzers- I really do have the best job in the world! Love this boy with all my heart 🥰

Say Hello to Sheba, a beautiful black Lab/Collie X who was in with her wonderful family for her first ever professional groom! Sheba has been shedding for her country so I was able to give her a top-to-tail de-shed groom which will help to get the dog hair situation at home under control 😆
She absolutely smashed it for her groom, and most exciting of all, she discovered that there's food at the groomers, so she was in Lab Heaven!! I had an absolute ball with this gorgeous girl she's a sweetheart and I can't wait to have her in again! 🥰

Terrier mix Bella is a highly sensitive, anxious girl who has some on-going health issues which means frequent visits to the vets unfortunately for her, so she has learned to lash out because she's anticipating needles and scary stuff. I always feel so sorry for vets because they have to do things sometimes that they know the dog is not going to like but its necessary to do it in order to help the dog! Ive huge respect for vets because of that 🙏 So grooming for Bella is all about building trust and bringing the anxiety level down. This gorgeous girl will never be a picture perfect groom and we're OK with that because she's made great progress with each visit. Every step forward is a win for Bella, whether it's a simple brushing of the hind legs or a full nail clip, it's all huge for her and I'm super proud of her! She's a work in progress for sure, but she's an absolute sweetie!! 🥰

Cavapoo Love 💞 🐾

My best bud Cooper was in for some pampering. This little sweetie is just about as challenging to groom as dogs come as he's super anxious and gets himself all wound up very easily. But I had a feeling that the quiet home-away-from-home environment would suit him, and I was absolutely delighted with how well he did! To see this guy completely chilled out after his groom was really wonderful for me as his groomer, because the words "chilled out" are generally not something we'd associate with our Coopey! So relaxing on the sofa and having a snuggle was extra special - those are the really magic moments for me 🥰 Love the bones of this beautiful dog 💖💟💛
