PLEASE BE AWARE ⚠️Dogs don't sweat like we do. They rely mainly on painting to cool themselves down. In hot weather they can overheat much faster than people realise.

‼️ KEEP YOUR PETS SAFE IN HOT WEATHER ☀️

Heatstroke is a life-threatening emergency that can cause seizures, organ failure, internal bleeding, coma, and even death.

Dogs are especially at risk during warm weather, particularly:
• Flat-faced breeds
• Overweight dogs
• Giant breeds
• Thick-coated dogs
• Very young and senior dogs

✅ Walk early morning or late evening only
❌ Avoid walks between 12pm–4pm
✅ Provide plenty of fresh water and shade
✅ Offer cooling treats such as ice pops
❌ Never leave a dog in a car, even for a few minutes

🐱 Cats already know exactly what to do, find the coolest spot in the house and sleep through the heat 😊

If in doubt, skip the walk. Your pet's safety comes first 🐾
