Samantha Jane Rodgers has been made a finalist in the Newcomer Groomer of the Year Award and the salon Barkers of Boxhill - Dog Grooming Emporium is a finalist in the Specialist Pet Service Award! 🐩🐕🐾🐩🐕🐾

These national, prestigious awards mean a great deal to us, as most of you will know our salon only started trading on the 17th March, 2026! 🥳🎉🎊🎂

Samantha has over 20+ years as a qualified, healthcare professional, a qualified designer and worked for Paul Mitchell Haircare UK, and is also a certified Canine First Responder and Emmi-Pet Teeth Cleaning Technician.

Therefore, our salon delivers a much more holistic approach to canine grooming combined with offering the best branded products to our clients from the luxury, premium brands such as i-Groom, Chris Christensen, Madra Mor, etc...

We are so truly grateful and humbled to be recognised, and especially when you have a vision of starting a new business and the business starts to grow from strength to strength.

Let's talk pricing!

I totally understand that budget matters...but when choosing a dog trainer, I would encourage you to ask this question...

"Why is there such a difference in price?"

🐾When you choose me, you're not just paying for the 60-90 minutes we spend together... you're investing in years of education, ongoing professional development, science based knowledge, practical experience, and a commitment to using ethical, force-free methods that protect your dog's physical and emotional well-being.

🐶You're paying for someone who continues to study because the science of animal behaviour is constantly evolving. You're paying for individual training plans, preparation, travel to/from you, follow up support, insurance, and the time I spend thinking about your dog's progress long after our session has ended.

💶 Could I charge less? Perhaps.

But I refuse to cut corners on my education, my standards, or the quality of support I provide. I also won't use quick-fix methods that rely on pain, fear, or intimidation simply because they appear to produce fast results.

The cheapest option is not always the best value.

💥If someone offered to carry out electrical work in your home for half the price, you'd probably ask about their qualifications. Dog training should be no different. The person you choose has a direct, and very real, impact on your dog's welfare, confidence, and the relationship you'll share for years to come.

So if another trainer charges less, that's absolutely your choice. Every trainer runs their business differently.

My prices reflect my experience, my ethics, my continued investment in learning, and my commitment to helping dogs and their families succeed using methods that are backed by science, and built on trust- not fear!
