Ruby and Bowie have been enjoying a lovely weekend with us, alongside resident dog Dinky. 🐾❤️

There has been plenty of garden playtime, enrichment activities, relaxing in the shade, and even a few afternoon naps on the cooling mats!

Nothing makes me happier than seeing dogs feel safe, comfortable, and right at home while their owners are away. 🏡

Today we said goodbye to our beloved April after 16 wonderful years together.

April wasn’t just our dog, she was family. She grew up alongside my boys and was there for every chapter of our lives. She watched over Deon as he grew up and later became Thomas’s gentle protector too.

She was the kindest, most loyal dog I have ever known. Gentle with everyone she met, patient with the children, and always by our side.

The house feels very empty tonight.

Thank you, April, for 16 years of unconditional love, loyalty, cuddles, adventures and companionship. Thank you for being the best friend we could ever have wished for.

Sleep peacefully now, beautiful girl. You will always be loved, always be missed, and never be forgotten. ❤️
