This is what happens when you take a break but forget to send a memo to your dogs and leave them to enjoy
2 weeks ago , we found out our girl was pregnant , we never saw her come in season nor did we see her being mated by that boy who doesn’t need assistance to mate regardless of the female’s height
Not knowing exactly when to expect delivery was a problem and this being her first litter with us too was another challenge as we didn’t know what to expect
Well we had faith in her lines as her mum was one of our best when it came to whelping and delivery of pups naturally. So we judged her EDD by her actions and left her to do it the natural way
On Saturday morning , we woke up and got her out to do her thing from the whelping room and have some exercise . After half an hour we locked her up and gave her food and kept watching her from our whelping camera. We can’t watch her 24/7 as we have other things to attend to .
Miraculously, just after leaving the house to attend to other businesses, we received a call this girl had delivered 4 pups already…Wow… Wow… Wow
Was there reason to panic, not at all because my mum who is our kennel manager was right there to help her through her journey.. I got home later after noon to be greeted by these beautiful 7 pups (4 boys 3 girls)
This litter was unplanned for but very much one to die for and the reason is in the pedigree
