My Rodents are Rescued I rehome rodents into my home York, (England). meaning that i adopt them from families that no longer have the time for them.

I then keep most of these rodents as my own until the ends of their lives. I take on rodents from people who no longer have the time for them. I can only take so many as i keep them for their whole lives. I can however take on rodents temporarily until they are rehomed if there is desperate need. I am not a profit organisation or a charity but donations of rodent toys, equipment, food or litter would be greatfully accepted!

We've been dealing with a horrible situation with Deacon. We're quite sure he has a petutiary tumour. Over a period of time he's become very unsteady and uncoordinated. His bite strength and ability to grasp has decreased and he's lost a lot of weight despite our best efforts. He's on a modified diet and has a special rig so his water bottle is easier to access from the floor of the cage. He's eating and seems in good spirits for the moment. We continue to monitor him daily. These kinds of tumours are unfortunately common in rats though in 20 years I've been very lucky to only have 2 or 3 rats with them. Poor Deacon is unlucky but we're doing everything we can for him and his brother Luca is loving him as he always has even if he is stealing a bit of deacons food now and then.

Welcome to new boys Alby, Abel, Arlo and Milo. Recently sad goodbyes we're said to Kaya and Kuina. Beautiful independent girls who loved food almost as much as they loved each other. Those two took "were sisters" to a new level. Kuina couldn't live without Kaya and passed shortly after her sister.

Kuma and Choji crossed the rainbow bridge recently 😭 But I have to give special mention to maki who is out lasting everyone. She is practically bionic she's still going strong still full of character and still obsessed with treats. Furbabies passing is hard but rats, especially, live such short lives. But as they pass I get to help more unwanted pets, more snake food, more breeder surplus and give them good lives. So to every one who is no longer with us I thank you for your friendship and I thank you for leaving room for more. I love you all ❀️

It's been an eventful couple of weeks. We said goodbye to Momo and Neji 😒 and welcomed Pixel and Gidget. Milly, Tempy and V destroyed their cage base and went for an adventure that left us stressed and tired and putting together an all metal cage at 4am this morning πŸ™„
