Diamond Dog Grooms

I’m currently enjoying some time away in the beautiful Lake District, fully switching off from work and making absolutely amazing memories of a lifetime! 🥹🍂⛰️

📩 I’ll be back on 27th October and will respond to all texts, calls and messages once I’m back.

Thank you for your patience and understanding! 💙🐾

I listen. I adapt. I meet them where they are. 🤍🐾

If something feels overwhelming, I stop. I give them a break, remove or pause what’s causing it, give them time to regulate, then reassess.

What are they communicating? What can I change? How can I make this easier for them?

Sometimes that means changing how we approach something, offering connection, giving them an outlet, desensitisation, fun visits or splitting the groom into smaller sessions.

Because I want every dog to feel heard, understood and supported through their groom.

This is my passion, and this is how I work💙

🎅🏼💌 A little letter from Santa…

Have you booked your dog’s Christmas groom yet? 🎄🐾

December appointments will be offered to existing clients first, before any remaining spaces are opened to new clients.

DDG clients, now’s your chance to get your December appointment booked in! 💌

✨ NEW CLIENTS ✨

If you’d like to be considered for a December appointment, please send me:

🐾 Breed
🎂 Age
🩺 Any health conditions or medical considerations
🧠 Any behavioural needs, worries or struggles
✂️ Previous grooming experience & anything they’ve struggled with

This helps me get to know your dog and any needs or areas where they may need support. 💙

Existing clients will be prioritised first, with any remaining spaces then offered to suitable new clients.

🎄 Message me with your details if you’d like to be considered!

Love,
Diamond Dog Grooms 🐾💙

Sometimes you may see my salon door open, or even see me out in the garden with your dog before their agreed collection time.

Please wait in your car or take a seat on the bench outside until your agreed time.

If I’m ready earlier, I’ll have a little nose out of the gate and come and find you 🐾

It can be tempting to come over when you see us, but giving your dog this time postgroom is so important. Seeing Mum or Daad straight away can bring a huge rush of excitement, so this little bit of time allows them to enjoy their post groom time before heading home.

It’s their whole experience that matters. How they feel matters. That’s what dogs remember, not how they look. 🤍

Here’s more sleepy, chilled pups blessing your feed! 😴🐾

Every dog experiences grooming differently. Some love to play and stay stimulated, some thrive off the affection and 1-1 attention, and some just want to completely decompress and switch off.

Some dogs want a mixture of all of these things too, and that’s what makes my job so interesting, fun and rewarding. 🥹

Coco is definitely a switch off and relax kind of boy. He absolutely loves being able to fully relax during his groom, sometimes I even have to lure him to stand up for parts of the groom with a little treat because he’d quite happily just stay lying down! 😂 And of course, the lil treat works a treat! 🤣

Every dog is an individual with different needs, and I always meet them where they are. 💙

🌱 Here’s why I’m asking…

In this day and age, I really don’t think there’s any reason to use products or support businesses that test on animals or rely on animal derived ingredients when there are so many alternatives available that are just as good, if not better! 🐾🌱

I’m proud to say that I use vegan and cruelty free products here at Diamond Dog Grooms and I’ve made a conscious effort to check the products I use and the brands I support. 💚

The products I use include:
🐾 Peanut & Pickle (full range)
🐾 Banish Dematting Spray
🐾 Groomers Signature Evening Primrose Oil Shampoo
🐾 Hydra Vegan Detox Range
🐾 Hydra Ultra Dematting & Finishing Spray
🐾 Hydra Soft Touch Spray
🐾 Hydra moisturising conditioner

Let’s support a kinder, more compassionate industry and a brighter world. 🌎💚

💬 Comment your favourite vegan & cruelty free brands below! I’d love to discover some new ones. 👇🏻
