It is with a heavy heart and after some careful consideration, that Wags and Wash have made the difficult decision to close the business, with the final day of trading being Wednesday 29th July.

We want to say a huge thank you to each and every one of our wonderful customers for your support over the past year. Whether you've booked an appointment, recommended the business to others, or simply cheered us on, your kindness and loyalty have meant more than you know.

Running this business has been such a rewarding experience, and we've genuinely loved meeting so many amazing people along the way. We're incredibly grateful that you chose to support a small business like ours

While it's time to move on to a new chapter, we'll always look back on this journey with fond memories and appreciation.

Here is our roundup for the week featuring just some of the gorgeous dogs that came in for grooms! We start with Buddy the Cocker Spaniel, back for his third time; then Izzi and Buddy the Poodle-cross duo; next we welcomed Lenny the Labrador/Newfoundland cross in for his first wash-and-go; and finally Jake the Cockapoo back for a routine groom!

To all of our wonderful customers – thank you so much for the opportunity of grooming and walking your dogs since we opened for business in November. Your continued support truly means everything, and we really appreciate every booking, recommendation, and kind review that has been left thus far.

As Wags and Wash continues to grow, we have invested in improving the services provided, from high-quality products and equipment to the recent completion of staff training, ensuring every dog receives the best possible care.

Like many small businesses, we have also seen increases in the cost of products, equipment, insurance, and general running costs of the studio. In order to continue providing the high standard of grooming your dogs deserve, we will be making a small adjustment to our prices from 1st August.

These decisions are not made lightly, and we have worked hard to keep the increase as fair as possible while continuing to offer the quality, care, and one-to-one attention that every dog receives during their appointment.

Thank you for your understanding and for supporting a small local business. We can't wait to continue pampering your pets for many years to come!

The new pricing structure will not affect any bookings that have already been made or are due to take place before the 1st August, however, if you have any questions about the new pricing, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

On account of the hot weather conditions and taking the day off to celebrate Father's Day on Sunday, this week we saw a reduction in the number of dogs coming to the studio. This week we welcomed two newbies - Sam the Sprocker and Coco the Poodle, both in for their first full grooms. Both did incredibly well and are feeling better for shedding their winter coats!

After a week off for staff training, here is our weekly roundup of Wags and Wash's recent visitors!

First up, we had Stan the Cockapoo in for his first full groom at Wags and Wash. Next we welcomed back Maple the Toy Poodle/Cavapoo cross in for her second full groom with us. Then came Rufus the loveable Labradoodle in for his first full groom. Afterwards, we welcomed back Stanley the Cocker Spaniel who came in for a full groom and routine teeth clean. And last, but certainly not least, one of our regulars Lily the Yorkshire Terrier came back for a routine groom appointment!

Here is our weekly roundup of just some of the dogs we have had the pleasure of receiving this week. We start off with Penny the Cavapoo returning for a routine groom; then we have Betsy the Poochon (also returning for routine grooming); next we have Bonnie the Cockapoo (returning for a full groom after a successful puppy introduction (pictured having snuggles with the family)); we also welcomed Bramble the Toy poodle for her first ever puppy introduction, and a return of Billie the Labrador (in for a much needed de-shed and teeth clean!

We also had the pleasure of welcoming back Rolo the Cavachon, only this time, we took to the great outdoors on a joyful walk!

Seeing these dogs grow and thrive and build their trust in Wags and Wash (for both new and those returning) really does make the job of a groomer and walker worthwhile, so if your pup is in need of a groom, walk or both, then look no further. This week we undertook staff training, so here is a stripped-back roundup of this week's bookings:

We welcomed Rolo the Cavachon who came in for his first groom and teeth clean. We also gave a much needed groom to our very own business mascot - Freddy the Cockadoodle Poo!

Time for our weekly roundup - this week we welcomed Hera the Cairn Terrier / Lhasa Apso cross (in for her first groom with us), Teddy the Cocker Spaniel puppy (in for a hand strip groom and teeth clean), Jake the Cockapoo (in for his second groom and second teeth clean) and Lily the Yorkshire Terrier (in for a routine groom)!

This week, we welcomed back four of our regular customers: Poppy and Oakley the Cocker Spaniels (both in for routine teeth cleans and grooms), Bernard the Labradoodle, and Stanley the working Cocker Spaniel (for both a routine teeth clean and groom). We also welcomed Daisy the Maltipoo for her first full groom at Wags and Wash.

What a huge change we have seen in Arlo the Cavachon (one of our repeat customers) who came in for his third groom at Wags and Wash! It's always a privilege to see the dogs not only look more beautiful but grow in confidence each time they come back, and Arlo is no exception!
