🩷💜 It's been a hand strip week this week! 💜🩷

We've had Two wire hair strips and two gun dog strips!

🩷 Did you know that both techniques are very different?

💜 With wire hair breeds the top coat is stripped to encourage a more harsh, course coat to come through
🩷 Gun dogs have their softer undercoat stripped to encourage the top coat to lay flat

💜 Willow, a hand stripped English Cocker Spaniel 💜

🩷 Willow had her first session with me having not been stripped for a long time.
🩷 Her furnishings were quite matted in places but I was able to save enough to give her some shape
🩷 Willow will need quite a few sessions to get her back into the correct shape for her breed, but her owner couldn't part with her "mop" so a modified pet strip was agreed on.

💜I think you'll agree, we made a great start on getting her back to beautiful!

‼️ ☀️🌞 Severe weather alert 🌞☀️ ‼️

Due to the forecast high temperatures, particularly tomorrow I will be considering closing the salon.

Temperatures in the salon are reaching 30+ degrees when the outside temps are around 26 degrees. Although I am managing the situation the best I can using fans, this won't be enough when the forecast is for temps in the mid to high 30's.

I understand this can be frustrating, but I will endeavour to get dogs rebooked as soon as possible.

The salon has been closed for a few days while I took time out to attend the British Flyball Champions with my team Notts Supadogs.

🩷💜🐾 A Little Notice to my Lovely Clients 🐾💜🩷

Firstly, thank you so much to everyone who has supported my small, newly established grooming business. Your kindness, recommendations, and loyalty mean the world to me. ❤️

I just wanted to share a small update to my booking policy.

Unfortunately, when clients don't turn up for their appointments without letting me know, it has a significant impact on my business. As a small business, every appointment is important, and a no-show means I lose both valuable time and income that can't usually be replaced at short notice.

If you can't make your appointment, please just let me know. I completely understand that life happens, and wherever possible I'm more than happy to reschedule your appointment. A quick message is always appreciated and allows me the chance to offer the appointment to someone else.

From now on, any clients who do not attend their appointment without notice will be required to pay for the missed appointment in full before being able to book another appointment.

Thank you for your understanding and for helping to support a small local business. Your consideration really does make a huge difference, and I look forward to continuing to keep your gorgeous dogs looking and feeling their very best. 🐶💕
