When will the flies go?
How are there still so many about with all this rain?
I hate flies. 🪰
I have washed and put away the fly masks 3 times already… before having to get them back out again. 🫣😅

Horses have officially had the switch here -
They’re now out in the day and in at night.

Unless we get another heatwave before the summer is out they won’t change back…

So far he’s been a very good tenant … Although he did think his water bucket was a swimming pool for the first 3 days.
Thankfully he’s now preferring to sunbathe 💤 rather than swim.

Paul and Deb’s Lucciano looking fantastic this morning at Ben Pauling Racing.

He’s got big boots to fill… but, he’s got pretty big feet so fingers crossed. 🤞
….In fact - he’s got pretty big everything. 😅

He’s in extremely good hands at Bens and I really hope he’s another homebred to be proud of for Deb and Paul. 💫

Siblings include Luccia, Caspari, Hooper and the 3 year old that topped this years store sale at Doncaster was his full brother.

This filly will never not amaze me with how well behaved she is….
With out any dope or sedative she stood like a rock to be manipulated into several different positions to xray her knees yesterday.

Having rumbled some tendon fibres when running last year and already having had a bit of time off to let that settle …. she presented as 1/10th lame on her other leg about 2 weeks ago…

2 weeks further on and no change i felt like we needed to get to the bottom of it oppose to keep pushing through and making anything worse.
Blocked out to the knee and then sound, the knee was xrayed to show some sclerosis …
The knee has now been jabbed and hopefully in a weeks time we can push on again and Africa can get back on track - literally!

It’s all felt a bit stop start since the beginning of the year but i do think if we can get this filly back to her best that there is much more to come from her…. 💪

If you like football this new arrivals name will probably mean more to you than it does to me….
Although, I don’t think this lad will
be playing for Brazil in the near future.

Instead he’ll hopefully be showing us some fancy footwork on the racecourse instead of on the football pitch.
