Scruff and Fluff

Scruff and Fluff is a friendly, relaxed 1:1 dog grooming salon that I run from my own home in Rendlesham, Suffolk. Grooming with love and lots of cuddles! ❤️🐶

I believe grooming should be a stress-free experience with time and patience for every dog.

🐾🎈🌟🎁 Happy 5th Birthday to Preston who came in this morning for a birthday groom! He’s so laid back he likes to lay down through the whole thing 🌟🎁🎈🐾

🐾 Meet the gorgeous Nova! 🐾

Here he is before, during and after his pamper session 🐾🐶

The middle photo is after his shampoo and blow-dry, before the finishing touches ✂️🛁 He doesn’t like the hair dryer so I have it on quietly and far away from him. It takes a bit longer but it keeps him much happier!

And then… the finished look! 😍

What a handsome boy! 💙🐾

🐾 This is Rolo! 🐾

Here she is, happily chilling and waiting for her mum to come and collect her while I tidy up after her groom. ❤️

Rolo is happy with every aspect of the grooming process and is an absolute pleasure to have as a client. But not every pup feels quite as relaxed about being groomed — and that’s completely okay.

One of the things I love most about being a 1:1 groomer is that I don’t have to rush through my day. I can take the time each individual dog needs and work with them at their own pace, helping to make the grooming experience as calm and stress-free as possible. 🐶

If they don’t like the hairdryer, I have a quieter dryer that I can use from further away. It takes a little longer and they might not come out quite as fluffy, but that’s absolutely fine!

If they’re a bigger dog or don’t like being lifted, I have a bath and grooming table that can be lowered right down to the floor so they can access them more easily.

And for my elderly or slightly wobbly clients, I can even groom them at floor level. I simply get myself a cushion, kneel down beside them and work around them. 🥰

Because for me, the most important thing isn’t how quickly a dog is groomed or how fluffy they look when they leave — it’s that they feel safe, comfortable and cared for throughout the whole experience. ❤️

Every dog is different, and that’s why I believe their groom should be too. 🐾
