🌈🐾 Sleep peacefully, beautiful Vegas. 🐾🌈
Sometimes, in pet care, you meet a dog who leaves a little piece of their heart with you forever. Vegas was one of those very special dogs. ❤️
Vegas was a rescue who had been pulled from a meat market and given a completely different life by his wonderful family. He was rescued, loved, cherished and given the life he deserved.
When I first met him, he was nervous and unsure. But understanding rescue dogs and giving them the time, patience and space they need is something very close to my heart. Slowly, we built trust. Then something very special happened — we formed a bond. ❤️
I was incredibly grateful that his family chose me to spend some of his final days with him. I got to know his little ways, understand his needs, help with his medication, keep things calm for him and, most importantly, simply be there with him.
We had some beautiful moments together — gentle walks, quiet time, cuddles, and even dancing together in the park. 🥹🐾❤️
For those final days, I hope Vegas knew that he was safe, loved and wanted. That he mattered. That he was still important in this world.
And then, most importantly, he was able to spend his final few days surrounded by the family who had rescued him, loved him and given him such a beautiful life. He went to sleep peacefully, surrounded by love. 🌈❤️
I will always be grateful that I got to be a tiny part of Vegas's story.
Today, I asked my own beautiful rescue boys, who are now over Rainbow Bridge, to look out for Vegas and show him the way. 🌈🐾❤️ I am sure they were there to welcome him with open paws and let him know he wasn't alone.
Thank you for trusting me with him. Thank you for allowing me to love him. And thank you, Vegas, for trusting me enough to let me into your little world.
You will always have a piece of my heart, little boy. ❤️🐾
Sleep well, Vegas. You were loved. You were wanted. You mattered. And you always will. 🌈
