πŸ• Today is International Dog Day 🐾 β€” a day to celebrate the unconditional love, wagging tails, and pure joy that dogs bring into our lives.
As a pet cremation family, we have the unique privilege of hearing your stories every day. We see first-hand just how deeply these beautiful souls weave themselves into our hearts. They aren't "just dogs"β€”they are our loyal confidants, our silent comforters, and our truest family members.
While today is a celebration of life, we also want to hold space for everyone missing a beloved companion who has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. The love they gave us never truly leaves; it stays tucked safely in our hearts forever.
Today, we encourage you to cherish every single moment. πŸΆπŸΎπŸ•πŸ©

Happy National Dachshund Day! πŸΎβ˜€οΈ
Did you know that this special day always falls on the summer solstice? It is the longest day of the year, perfectly matching the longest dogs around!
To celebrate, we wanted to introduce you to the newest member of our family. Meet Lucy's pup Hank! He is her 4-month-old miniature dachshund puppy. This is our first year celebrating this fun day with a sausage dog in the family, and he is already bringing so much joy to our lives.
We know just how deeply these little dogs wiggle their way into our hearts. They truly leave the biggest paw prints on our souls.
Whether your dachshund is currently curled up on your lap or running free across the rainbow bridge, we are sending you and your long little friends so much love today.

Happy 100th Birthday to Sir David Attenborough! 🌍

Today we celebrate a century of wonder. Sir David has spent his life teaching us to cherish every living creature - a mission of respect and compassion that sits at the very heart of what we do.

Thank you, Sir David, for being the ultimate voice for the animals that we love so dearly. 🐾 ✨

Today is World Veterinary Day 🐾 πŸ’™ 🩺

We take a moment to recognise and thank the incredible veterinary professionals who dedicate their lives to caring for our beloved animals.

From first check-ups to urgent emergencies, and even the most difficult goodbyes, vets, nurses, and support teams show unwavering compassion, skill, and strength every single day.

At Millers of Wokingham, we have the privilege of working alongside veterinary practices as they support families through some of the hardest moments imaginable. We see first hand the kindness, respect, and dignity they give to every pet and horse in their care.

Today, we honour not only the lifesaving work they do, but also the empathy they show when it matters most.

Thank you for everything you do β€” for the animals, and for the people who love them. πŸ΄πŸ• 🐈 πŸ‡ πŸ€ 🐍

🌍 Earth Day - 22nd April 🌳

Today, on Earth Day, we reflect on the deep connection between people, animals and the natural world.

In our work, we're reminded every day of the love we share with our pets and horses, and the environments they were part of. It's a bond built on care, respect and responsibility.

Earth Day is a gentle reminder that even small choices can make a difference. Whether it's caring for the land our horses graze on, protecting wildlife habitats, or being mindful of the resources we use - it all matters.

Today, we remember not only those we've lost, but also the beautiful world they were part of.

In loving memory of our faithful friends who have crossed the rainbow bridge. 🌈 🐾

Some lovely words from Scott Dunn's as Megan finishes up with them today after 7 fantastic years. We're so proud to have her joining us at Millers - especially being part of the family ❀️ We know she'll be missed there, but we're very lucky to have her.

We are all very sad to say goodbye today to Megan our Receptionist. She joined us 7 years ago as a Groom, then Patient Care Assistant and in 2023 moved in to Reception. Megan will be working for her family's business Millers of Wokingham - Pet & Equine Cremations and have more time at home to play with her 3 horses. Best of luck Megan we will all miss you very much!😍
