Start the groom process young...
Here is my girl, 9 months old. Happily getting onto the grooming table (yes treats were involved 😆) but as you can see she willingly does it as its her norm. We've been doing this since 8 weeks old. Even a happy hand shake at the end 🙂 such a good girly!

Proof that early starts lead to easy hearts. Pumpkin is under a year old and already a grooming natural. Start them young, and the rest they handle with ease.

A dog that starts grooming at 3 years old often views it as a traumatic event. A dog like Pumpkin, who starts under a year old, views it as a normal part of her routine. This leads to lower cortisol levels and a much happier dog (and groomer!)

The "blowout" is real! 🌬️ Double-coated breeds (like Huskies, Goldens, Collies) have a built-in climate control system. But when that undercoat gets trapped, it acts like a heavy wool sweater in the summer, leading to overheating and painful matting.

​That's why regular deshedding treatments and deep cleans are so important and help to:

​Regulate body temperature by letting the skin breathe.

​Reduce "canine glitter" left on your carpet and clothes.

​Prevent hot spots caused by trapped moisture and debris.
