Elderly cats are always a joy to work with. This senior lady was booked in with me a few months back as she was pretty matted. She let me shave out all the matting and let me groom her. It’s like they know you are there to help them. Afterwards, her owner noticed a complete change in her behaviour. She was happier within herself and was cleaning herself a lot more ❤️ It’s lovely to see her regularly now for her maintenance grooms ❤️

Your kitten’s grooming journey begins the moment you bring them home. Grooming is a vital part of their routine health and well-being. Starting early really can make all the difference.

When exposed to grooming early (between 8 and 16 weeks if possible) they’re more likely to tolerate general handling, nail trims, the sound and vibration of clippers and brushing.

Early experiences help build positive associations. My sessions with kittens are short, gentle and focused on positive reinforcement. It’s not about completing a “perfect” groom— it’s about building tolerance in manageable, trust-building steps ❤️

I met this handsome floof a few months ago when he got himself into a situation with his fur which resulted in him having to be shaved at the back. This was done over two visits as he was quite an anxious boy and was becoming pretty stressed. I visited him today and he let me clean his ears and eyes (which he didn’t last time) clip his nails and shave around his bottom ❤️ His hair is growing back beautifully. He was giving me lots of kisses afterwards and was super chilled. What fantastic progress ❤️ I will be seeing him again in a few months time for a lovely de-shed to keep that beautiful coat tangle free ❤️
