Have you ever seen eyes quite like Dotty's? 👀

Our gorgeous Dotty has the most fascinating eyes! Look closely and you'll notice that one has a really unusual pattern of golden and brown markings, giving it an almost marbled appearance.

It's one of those little features that makes her so unique, and we think it's absolutely beautiful! 💜

Well… we’ve been a little quiet on here lately! 🐾 💜

Summer has absolutely flown by and, behind the scenes, we’ve been kept very busy looking after lots of lovely little faces while their humans have been off enjoying their holidays. ☀️✈️

There have been plenty of breakfasts served, litter trays attended to, treats handed out, cuddles demanded and, of course, lots of very important chats with cats who clearly had plenty to say.

It’s been such a lovely busy summer and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who continues to trust ZenCatz with their much-loved furry family members.

Now things are starting to settle a little, we thought it was about time we popped our heads back up on here and shared some of the gorgeous faces we’ve had the pleasure of spending our summer with.

Here’s to cosy autumn visits, darker evenings and plenty more cat cuddles! 🍂🧡

We are very sorry to learn of the passing of a much-loved member of the ZenCatz family 💜

T was a nervous girl when we first met, but it didn’t take her long to trust and for her true personality to shine through.

She absolutely loved company and was such a gentle, sweet soul. It was a real privilege spending time with her and building such a lovely bond.

T lived a very full and happy life, surrounded by so much love. Our thoughts are with her mum at this very sad time.

Sleep peacefully, sweet girl. 🐾🩶

A little autumn / winter availability update... 🍂❄️

Our autumn and winter bookings are already coming in thick and fast, and availability is becoming quite limited across the coming months.

If you have an autumn break or pre-Christmas getaway on the horizon, now is the perfect time to secure your cat care.

We’re incredibly grateful for all the continued support and love seeing so many familiar feline faces returning to stay with us! 🐱💜

We are very sorry to learn of the passing of a much-loved member of the ZenCatz family.

P was a lovely, soppy senior girl who enjoyed plenty of fuss almost as much as she enjoyed her dinner! She was an absolute pleasure to care for during her time with us.

Our thoughts are with her family at this sad time. Sleep peacefully, sweet girl. 🖤🐾

Harry urgently needs your help to find the loving forever home he deserves. 🐾

He has been in foster with me since February and is the most affectionate, cheeky little character with so much love to give. He narrowly escaped being euthanised, which is how he earned the name Harry Houdini.

Please share far and wide to help Harry find his forever person. Anyone interested in offering him a loving home, please send me a message 🩶

📢 IMPORTANT NOTICE 💜

A huge thank you to everyone who has booked with ZenCatz this summer! Due to an incredibly busy holiday season, our diary is now fully booked until October. As a result, we won't be taking any new bookings for dates before October.

We are so grateful for your continued support and trust in us to care for your wonderful cats. It really does mean the world. 🐱

📅 Bookings for October onwards remain open, so if you already know your autumn or winter travel plans, we'd recommend getting in touch sooner rather than later to secure your dates.

☀️🐱 Keeping Cats Cool During a Heatwave 🐱☀️

As temperatures rise, it's important to help our feline friends stay comfortable and hydrated.

A few simple ways to keep your cat cool:

🐾 Make sure fresh water is available at all times
🐾 Keep curtains closed during the hottest part of the day
🐾 Provide cool, shaded places to rest
🐾 Brush regularly to remove excess fur
🐾 Avoid encouraging play during the hottest hours

💡 Did you know?

You can freeze Lick-e-Lix to make a cat-friendly ice lolly!

They're a great way to provide a cool treat and encourage hydration on hot days. Just remember to keep an eye on your cat while they're enjoying it – nobody likes brain freeze, not even our feline friends! ❄️
