Well, I honestly don’t know where to begin today... what a wonderful start to such a special day! 🥹❤️🐾

Firstly, a MASSIVE thank you to Helen Colledge Samuels, Karen, Chantelle, Ryan and Sarah for helping me set up the room at Charlemont Bowling Club - 2025 this morning. It’s been so lovely working together as a team and watching everything finally come together ready for tonight! 🎉🥳

And then came an amazing surprise...

Our wonderful volunteer Parveen, who recently made a very generous cash donation to us from herself and her mom, dropped me a message this morning to let me know that her company, Support Asia, has ALSO made a very generous cash donation to The Pet Foodbank! 😭❤️

I’m genuinely feeling a little emotional today. The support we have been receiving recently has been absolutely incredible and moments like this make all the hard work, late nights, endless messages, packing parcels and running around completely worthwhile.

Parv, thank you SO much for organising this. You are so appreciated and I’m so glad to have you as part of our Pet Foodbank family. 🐾❤️

And I can’t forget our lovely volunteer Karen, who has been busy fundraising ahead of tonight’s event and has raised a fantastic £91 for us! 👏🎉

Our volunteers already give us their time, help with deliveries, collections, events and everything else we throw at them, so for them to go even further and fundraise and donate too is just unbelievable.

Honestly, the kindness surrounding our little charity right now is something else. ❤️

And the main event hasn’t even started yet!!! 😂🥳🐾

Tonight we celebrate TWO YEARS of The Pet Food Bank, and I think it might be an emotional one! ❤️🐶🐱

Today is the day!!! 🎉🐾

I’m up and ready to go, getting everything decorated and ready for tonight. We are so excited to welcome everyone and celebrate 2 whole years of The Pet Food Bank Sandwell. 💙🐶🐱

Today is also a very special day for another reason… it is my beautiful mum’s heavenly birthday. 🎂✨

Mum absolutely adored animals, and I truly believe that is where me and Helen get our love for dogs and our passion for helping animals in need. ❤️

When we booked the bowling club, this was the only date the manager had available, and it honestly felt like fate. I know Mum would be looking down today, so proud of everything we have achieved so far and the difference we have made to so many pets and their owners.

So while we celebrate two amazing years of The Pet Food Bank Sandwell, we will also be taking a moment to think of Mum and the love she gave us that helped inspire this journey.

Happy heavenly birthday Mum. 🌈🐾

🎉🐾 JUST OVER 24 HOURS TO GO!!! 🐾🎉

The excitement is definitely building now... our big fundraiser night is TOMORROW!! 🥳

Me and Helen Colledge Samuels have been out shopping today getting all the last goodies, and all the other food, cakes and treats are arranged to be delivered ready for the night. 🍰🍕🍬

There is STILL SPACE to come along, so if you've been thinking about it... come and join us!

🎟️ Raffles, auctions and prizes
🎶 Music, food and plenty of fun
❤️ All while raising much-needed funds for The Pet Food Bank Sandwell & surrounding areas!

🐾 AND THEY KEEP COMING... 🐾

And just when we thought today couldn’t get any busier... TWO more referrals have landed in our inbox! 😳

First up, a referral for 2 SMALL DOGS... WOOHOOOOOO! 😂🎉 Finally, dogs that don’t require half a warehouse of food! Along with them are 3 cats who also need a little helping paw. 🐶🐶🐱🐱🐱

Then we received another referral in Brierley Hill for a gentleman with 3 cats who is desperately in need of food for them. ❤️

That brings today’s grand total to SIX referrals in ONE DAY! 😱🐾

It’s been absolutely non-stop, and our food supplies have taken a serious battering, but every single one of those referrals will have food within 24 hours. 💪❤️

I genuinely cannot thank our volunteers enough today. You’ve stepped up, collected parcels, delivered food and helped us make sure that not one of these pets is left hungry.

Days like today are chaotic, exhausting and slightly bonkers... but THIS is exactly why The Pet Food Bank Sandwell and surrounding areas exists. 🐾❤️

Six referrals. One day. Lots of miles. Lots of pet food. And an incredible team making it happen.

The two small dogs deserve a special mention after today's Cane Corso invasion. 😂🐕‍🦺➡️🐕

CAN PEOPLE START ADOPTING SMALLER DOGS PLEASE!!!!! 😂😂🐶

FOUR referrals have landed with us today and apparently it’s officially Cane Corso Wednesday! 🤣

🐾 First up was Tipton, where a Staffie owner had sadly been mugged and left with no money. Unfortunately, even with a crime number, emergency financial help can take days to come through. Their nearby food bank doesn’t provide pet food, so thankfully Rob was able to head over with me and make sure their dog had food. ❤️

🐾 Next, a gentleman in Smethwick with TWO giant Cane Corsos and an XL Bully needed support after his benefits hadn’t arrived. That is one BIG food parcel, and it’s being collected tonight!

🐾 Then we received a referral from Murray Hall for a lady whose income has suddenly dropped and who needs a little help feeding her TWO Cane Corsos.

🐾 And finally... because apparently we hadn’t seen enough Cane Corsos for one day 😂... another referral came in from Brierley Hill for a lady needing support with her Cane Corso.

I AM ALL CANE CORSOED OUT!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣

Is this the new Black Country fashion statement?! Forget handbags, everyone apparently needs a Cane Corso! 😂

The four photos show just how much food is heading out TODAY alone, and it has taken a massive whack out of our stored supplies. We have genuinely gone from feeling pretty well stocked to looking worryingly low in the space of ONE AFTERNOON! 😳

So please... I’m begging you...

CAN SOMEONE START ADOPTING CHIHUAHUAS?! 🤣🤣🤣

Seriously though, every single one of these pets deserves a full belly regardless of whether they weigh 5kg or approximately the same as a small family car. 🐶❤️

Days like today are exactly why your donations matter so much. Food comes in and sometimes it disappears again faster than we can stack it on the shelves!

Thank you to everyone who donates and to our volunteers who somehow keep up with us. You’re helping us make sure pets across the Black Country don’t go hungry when their owners hit a crisis. ❤️🐾

Thank you SO much to everyone who has donated recently. Every single item will be put to good use supporting pets and their owners across the Black Country. We really do appreciate you all. ❤️

Also, a big thank you to the lovely Parveen, who dropped off some dog treats that her fussy pair have decided they won't eat! 😂 Their loss is our gain, as they'll be perfect for adding a little extra treat into our clients' dog food parcels. 🐕❤️

Sorry, no pictures today! I was on a mission to get everything packed away as quickly as possible because poor Evie's playroom has officially been taken over by pet food donations AND boxes for Friday's fundraiser! 😂📦🐾

At this point, I'm not entirely sure Evie remembers what her playroom actually looks like! 🤣

We absolutely LOVE our doggies at The Roe Deer, so today we’re celebrating with a few photos of some of our regular four-legged visitors! 🐶❤️

And if you didn’t already know, we also run a monthly charity dog walk! 🐕🥾 We’ll soon be getting our walks organised for next year, and we’d love to hear from you…

🎉🐾 EXCITING TIMES!!! 🐾🎉

I’ve been a busy little bee tonight getting donations, raffle prizes and auction prizes packed up and ready for Friday night! 🎁🎟️🔨

There are boxes and bags EVERYWHERE at the moment 😂 My house has officially been taken over by the Pet Food Bank!

We’ve got the big food shop to tackle on Thursday 🛒🍕🍰 and then I think we’re pretty much READY TO GO! 🙌

Honestly, Friday can’t come quickly enough... partly because I’m ridiculously excited and partly because I’d quite like my house back! 😂😂

Our fundraiser and 2nd birthday celebration is nearly here! 💙💚🐾
